If you need immediate & caring attention, then Run to Dr. Wood. Unconventional, Different. Yes. Although different in multiple positive ways, far out weighing the negative! Additionally he informes you before you begin, of his limitations. Relates them to your animals needs, and suggests where you might be better served for specialities. Before meeting him, the Dr. held 2 hour long phone consultations with me. Suggested what I might need that he did not have. Interrupted Thanksgiving Dinner, at Midnight, to rush and see Louise...Now, I adopted an 11 yr. old cat from the H.Society. Went to 6 ( all) local vets, as I am a Senior and must use taxi's.. All gave a shot of Antibiotics, claimed her bad teeth were the problem & now they are ALL pulled. She was 90% bald, sores covering her body, swollen, angry red. She went from 11 lbs, to under 5. Pain prevented eating. The seizures started. I Knew her "issues" & they were Not "spread infection from dental plaque to her body from cleaning" As all claimed w/a cursory glance. No examination! To clarify, I wash her Nightly, w-water, and not an insect to be found. ( she is white.) .. I brought in a Senior cat, exhibiting multiple serious, varied symptoms!...Dr Wood, took stool, ear, samples & studied them & her, intently.--- He sprung into action. Dealing with her many 'issues, that would have killed her by nights end. . He gave her a cocktail of badly needed meds. & different meds, to follow up with at home.. As I cannot find a way to travel to a large city & a bigger, equipped clinic, Dr. Wood has been keeping her alive by treating her effectively, with an attention to detail Iv'e Never encountered.. He listens, Really listens. Asks many questions, ... Gives proper and detailed ( writing down instructions, as my memory fails me.) advice of continuing care. Monies handled last, before leaving. He "works with me" as to payment. Not 'money hungry' at all..!! I can & have called him, at any hour, and he is there for me. His concern for my cat is plain to see, his furrowed brow, in his gentle touch, suggesting I cover her in between his administering care, to prevent a chill. Murmuring "ok kitty", in sympathy of her discomfort. * Will Not allow me to leave until the meds have kicked in and she is stable!!! Takes detailed notes....Yes, in this rural community, owning a house and a clinic, close, is the norm that Iv'e seen. So points made, have loose truth.. Although perception, and variables must be considered! Bottom line. This man may not win a personality contest ( yet I like him very much.). He calls my cab, carries her to it & respectfully helps us in..*** His Love for animals is evident. I respect, admire, am eternally grateful to Dr. James Wood, for taking Excellent care of, and saving my baby Weezy's life...!!! ** Particularly when 6 others, the last seen 3 weeks prior, did not! *8 << He shrugged & said to each issue & plea to do something, "Ah, that's just the way she is" & charged my credit card w/o my knowledge an additional 250.00, on top of the 180 paid... Go To Dr. Wood If You Want Real Help & Close Attention To Your Beloved Furbaby..!!! ~ One of a kind! ~ _________**** PLEASE READ ALL !!! **** ( I wrote details in order to allow you to form your own opinion, based on FACTS! - Not my opinion, ..My Experiences!!! - There is Soo much positive, I had to work to Not list More !!! - Shortsighted, & misleading ppl upset me greatly! ) ~ Particularly in dealing with a Man who WILL help/save your Beloved animal !!! My Best Wishes to ALL! ~~~

DO NOT GO TO THIS VET UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

dirty hospital

weird acting vet

fumbles around like maybe he could figure something out about your pet if he is lucky

would not/could not x-ray

does not do any bloodwork

wants cash and asks for it first before asking the pet's or your name

yells and swears at pet and people

IF YOU ARE READING THIS AFTER SEEING HIM THEN REPORT HIM TO THE STATE VETERINARY BOARD. IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO HELP GET BAD VETS LIKE HIM TO NOT PREY ON UNSUSPECTING PEOPLE.
