i dont know what you heard or have seen in the newspapers about this school and i agrre with the person below me about this school, its a scam! i was on the 8th floor and i was a paying student that was the differance. at first, everyone was nice and welcomed me with open arms and it had nothing to do with work situations i just wanted to transfer, i chose this school over every other school, boy was that a mistake! i was in my 2nd to last semester and they made it hell for me, they kicked me out on the street literally because i missed a payment and made me pay 200 a week to come back until the end of the semester. the whole time i was there i felt like an outcast, the staff was rude to me, and same with the teachers because of their own misfaults. the computers were trash and was not good at all. i was on my way to getting my degree and they took it away from me and now i owe them more money for something i dont have. STAY AWAY FROM MCC/CTI! it will be the best thing you ever did. i wish i did a year ago. its full of convicted students. the teachers are nice and i feel bad they have to put up with such nonsense. GO TO A REAL SCHOOL this is not worth the time or the money, and out in the real world where your learning on differant types of computers, they cant supply you with that knowlege on the broken down computers they have...

MCC is a joke in my book. They only care about the 8th floor students aka "the paying students". The 6th floor students get treated like welfare cases. I found out about MCC through PA Careerlink. They were talking about a new Medical Billing program being started at MCC. I was already looking at other schools for medical billing classes, but being unemployed and being told that the program was free helped me decide to go to this scam of a school. Now I know everything free isn't good, but they were making it like I was coming to the best school in the city. NOT! The instructor goes on vacation in the middle of the course. Who does that. The employment advisor quit the same week that the instructor went on vacation. The computers hardly work. But they work on the 8th floor. It would take more than 5,000 characters to fully warn people to stay away from this place, and GO TO A REAL SCHOOL. You'll be glad you did.

I work at MCC and it is a great place to learn and work. The staff is very motivated and are very concerned about the students. MCC fills a niche in Philadelphia by providing an avenue for education and training for people who might not be as successful in a traditional collegiate or training setting. Because we are a non profit and exist on government funding and private and corporate donations, we struggle with the same issue as most non profits: funding and recruiting quality staff. We currently have a highly skilled staff that is very committed to the mission statement. One of the areas that we have made huge strides is in our IT department. We now have a very qualified IT professional who bringing our technology infrastructure to the highest levels it has been in years.

For people who are ready to make a change in their lives and secure great training and employment opportunities, MCC is the place to be.
