The Cat Specialist  5 Star Rating - World class

By John M.

The doctor and staff truly have a passion for our feline friends... They treated my blind and deaf Miracle-Kitty with love and affection through a tender surgery!

My poor cat was suffering from allergies for months. She was literately tearing her skin off.2 Other vets told me it was to food, pollen, or ragweed.Dr Neely found the solution right away...it was fleas! It couldn't have been any simpler to fix and my kitty feels gggrrrrrreeeaattttt

so gentle, my cat is injured and in tremendous pain  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I took my cat to The Cat Hospital (formerly Gentle Cat Doctor) for growths on his head. Thankfully, they found out that he suffered from a treatable ailment. It cost me $500 and that was just for diagnosis (cheaper at other hospitals). The problem is that I informed the doctor that my geriatric cat had arthritis and should not be allowed to jump off of the examination table. They were so gentle that he jumped down three times. Fast forward to the day after I bring him home from his one day stay-- he is limping badly. I hear something catch in his left hip whenever he walks. This is the second time that he has come home limping after a visit to this particular vet. I am kicking myself for taking him there in the first place. I took him to the cat hospital because he hates the dogs that he encounters at the other vet (Township Line Animal Hospital). Well, Township Line Animal Hospital would not have allowed him to injure himself. His medical condition prevents surgery-- so there is little that I can do to even comfort him. I think that they should think about closing the practice because my cat walked just fine and now he is in tremendous pain.

I give one star for a good diagnosis and horrible treatment thereafter.

Fantastic Cat Dr  5 Star Rating - World class

I have been taking Hobbes to Dr. Neely for 14 years and have received exceptional and compassionate service. They never fail to exceed my expectations, both in terms of caring for Hobbes as well as answering all of my questions and promptly returning phone calls. I would recommend the Gentle Cat Doctor of Haverford to anybody for all of their cats' needs.

PROS: great service, highly knowledgeable staff, gentle and compassionate care
