I only have one experience with Dr. Vu and it was pleasant. About 5 years ago my cat had a tooth sticking out of his mouth. It was early evening and I couldn't get an appt anywhere. When I called Dr Vu said in his thick accent "You come in first thing tomorrow morning - You save a lot money for emergency visit" I like this guy already! I was a little weary of how the place looks so I Googled it to see if there were any bad reviews. I found nothing - goood or bad. So I took the chance.
I will have to say while I was there, the place was packed because it was early morning and it??s a first come first serve basis. There was one family complaining that their dog was limping the day after routine shots.
He charged me $300 for the visit, shots, flea meds, a cleaning and three extractions. My cat was fine when I picked him up. Yes, the basement is eerie, but trust me your pet doesn??t care if it's a dark basement or a state of the art facility. A cage is a cage and they will miss you regardless.
So my other 15 year old cat is not doing well and I think it might be time to visit Dr Vu again. I am sorry some people had bad experiences. You take a chance going to any Vet.

My bulldog was becomming paralyzed due to lymes disease and very old age, so I took her there to be humanely euthanized. Not only did I have to carry her down the disguisting basement (which was dimly lit by a light bulb on a string), he collapsed her vein sedating her causing a lot of blood to spill, then she started vomiting and was choking on it and I had to save her from that because he refused to do anything for it. Then he tried to rush me upstairs (which I wasnt going anywhere, I wasnt just going to leave my girl down there like that) then he proceeded to leave go upstairs for 20 minutes leaving us alone in a basement filled with disguisting cages. When he finally returned, he brought a 5 inch needle with him, which instead of calmly inserting it and injecting a the serum to make her peacefully die... He jabs it into her heart (breaking the needle inside of her in the process) and was like "Okay, heart stop, she dead now, you leave" And as I was saying goodbye to her again he tries to bandage up his bloody mistakes. I would not reccomend this vet to anybody, even if it is an emergency because he has no clue what the hell he's doing when it comes to legitimately practicing veternary medicine.

My eight year old female pitbull was very sick. I called another veterinarian who told me it would be almost $500 dollars just to tell me what was wrong with her. I took her to Stowe Veterinary Clinic, the vet saw her with no problems. He was not afraid of her because she was a pitbull. That made me very happy. He looked at her and told me actually what was wrong with her, and gave me medicine for her. Now a week later and she is back to normal. Thank goodness that I took her to him, she had Pyometra. Thank you for all of your help. You are the best!

We recently got work done on the cat. After hearing about the experience about the "glueing", my wife was apprehensive about the whole thing. She called, and asked specifically about the "glueing" and he said that he used stitches. Now my sister in-law just got work done on her cat at a different vet in New York, and she didn't have to go back to the vet- WHICH means that the vet up there did not use stitches. NEWSFLASH: doctors routinely use glue on people instead of stitches when doing surgery. So, the bottom line is, we were very happy with his service, and it was very cost effective. The kicker is, we had a medium sized trip to go to him in the first place, and we had to add another trip, just to get the stitches removed. I wonder if my wife didn't ask about the stitches, if he would have just used the glue, saving ourselves a trip.

A few years ago, we took our cat to get declawed. He didn't stitch his paws, he GLUED them! We had no idea he did this until after the bandages came off. I walked downstairs to find that the wounds busted open and blood was everywhere! We rushed him to a good vet hospital and they saved his life with a blood transfusion. We called the Stowe vet. to tell him what happened and how upset we were with his "work". Alls he could say was, "Bring back, I do cheaper, I do cheaper." Thanks to the good vet hospital that saved him, he lived another 13 human years! That would not have been possible if this aweful doctor succeeded in his murdering practices!

I am an animal lover and have had animals for 25 years. All of my furry children are or were Dr. Binh's patients and they received excellent health care. He is gentle, kind and sensitive. Don't let his thick accent fool you, he's received many professional awards and is highly respected in his field. Stowe Clinic may not be a fancy place, but the care given is first rate.

I rescued at baby kitten. We brought him to this so called vet, who gave him 3 full vacines and a pill, the baby had 2 seizures on his table and he covered the kitten with a wash cloth and said he will be fine. We brought him home and he died. I'm no vet but I'm pretty sure you don't vacinate a kitten who is weak to begin with. So if you live your animals do not go here!

I do pet rescue and have been taking every pet I get to Dr. Binh for over 10 years since I moved to the suburbs. He is cost effective for shots, neutering, spaying, teeth extraction and he is always very nice to me and my family. Although his hours are limited, he always takes the time to tell me what to do and when and how to, and is willing to tell me what will work with my budget. This helps me have low affordable adoption fees. I recommend Dr. Binh because he truly cares about pets and people. He will answer the phone and help anyone at anytime, and will tell you pricing UPFRONT, and there are no additional charges. I would recommend this vet hospital especially if you are on a budget, and need regular exams and shots, or pet has issues that other vet's misdiagnose. I actually would recommend him to everyone, not just penny pinchers. I have taken pet's from Society Hill for 2nd opinions. Dr. Binh will figure it all out. He is Vietnamese, and his thick accent makes him very difficult to understand, but he is patient, and will clarify and sincerely take good care of your pet's. I give him a grade of 100% perfect with the pets, however, this is not the place for you if you are expecting a big vet hospital with automatic doors and fancy lab and overt waiting room. You will not find that there. He is a no frills vet, which I find refreshing. After all he answers his own phone, and I believe that simplicity keeps his prices affordable for me.

I have gone to other vet's and been misdiagnosed and ended up right back at Dr. Binh who diagnoses easily without the expensive tests and expensive trial and error. It is in Stowe, which essentially is Pottstown, across from the train tracks, and past the housing projects past the bread outlet. Again nothing fancy, but your pet will be pleased for the quick, fast, and effecient treatment!!

I have been going to Dr. Binh for over 20 years. He is a loving, caring, honest doctor. He will tell you exactly what is wrong and what is the best course of action for you to take to correct it. He would never charge you for something he did not do. I have trusted him with all my animals from birth until they were to old. He is very compassionate and is very good at what he does. If you want honest, compassionate care, use Dr. Binh.

He might be hard to understand, but he can just look at a cat or a dog and know what is wrong, and fix them. Very low prices, I will never take my animals anywhere else.
