Annie's Ice Cream is a quiet, unassuming little storefront nestled in the picturesque hills of scenic Jim Thorpe. Though the building is easy to miss, the gourmet confectionery delights are hard to forget! Upon ordering from the polite attendants, you are served almost before your hand hits your wallet. After being served, the moment that all dread must come: The paying. You smell the delicious aromas wafting from your recently procured treat, and you are prepared to hand over a king's ransom. That is not the case. Though the taste is extraordinary, the price is anything but! You will pay a fraction of the worth of this ice cream. You may ask the attendant if the price is indeed correct, or if she has made some mistake. She has made no mistake! After the payment is made and you retreat to your car or the nearby benches, the real excitement begins. Your first thought upon tasting the ice cream is that you must have fallen asleep and are now in some wonderful dream. Well, I have been there, and this is no dream! Never before has man taken something so pedestrian as heavy cream and shaped it into something so undeniably spectacular as this frozen dessert. Most of the ice cream is finished before you step out of your confectionery stupor, and you get to the cone. After the first bite, you are bombarded with a delicate mix of every perfect flavor capable of conception within the human imagination. The texture is perfect, the freshness could not be matched if you made it in your own kitchen, nor could the taste be successfully duplicated. This is no mere sugar cone, this is a work of art. If anything less than Annie's Ice Cream were placed inside, you would wonder if the ice cream was not just a way to hold the cone in place. This, however, is Annie's Ice Cream, and the ice cream and cone play off each other in a delicate ballet than can be called nothing less than beautiful symbiosis. Such is the way that the clown fish and the sea anemone keep each other in balance, such is the way of the ice cream from this shop. In short, if you are ever in Jim Thorpe and in need of something cold and delicious, this is undoubtedly the place for you!

Annie's Ice Cream has the absolute best moose tracks ice cream I have ever had. The prices are really good, too. I actually had to come back for a second helping because it was so delicious.
