Geno's is a Philadelphia classic... Promoting Obesity, beligerance, and overall intolerance. Come to Geno's if you want to enjoy a great late night atmosphere and a Philadelphia classic (Unless you don't speak english or have any issue with Philadelphia sports, Arena Football not included).

When we visited Philly my husband just had to go to Genos and get the famous cheesesteaks, I'm not really ito cheesesteaks but I did enjoy the sandwich as well the fries.

If you ever find yourself out late at night in Philly and you need something to fill your gut you will probably find your way to Geno's. We stopped a guy on the street who looked like he had had a few Cheese Steaks in his day and asked for him to recommend the best place in town and he immediately raved about Geno's. Interestingly everyone we asked said Pat's, which is right across the street, was an inferior choice. So we went to Geno's and had what I would call the best cheap Cheese Steak sandwich you can have - which ain't saying much but it's something. Warning, take it easy on the hot sauce. It is pretty aggressive. And be sure to make an appointment with your heart doctor the next day.

I've tried Genos or 2 seperate occasions and I still think that Pat's across the street is way better. The Steak wasn't as good here, almost seemed like I was eating a Steakum instead of real steak.

These cheese steaks are really good. We love them with Cheese whiz, and fried onions. If you are from the Philly area then you already know about Geno's in the heart of S. Philly. Worth the trip if you are visiting from out of town.
