I discovered Clark's today and went in since they specialize in Honda's. I received a quote for timing belt replacement which covered all the processes involved for $ 100.00 less than the 2 places I received estimates from before finding Clark's. I understand Clark's uses Honda dealer parts. I was also glad to hear that they mentioned spark plugs are recommended to be replaced at this time. I already knew that but other places did not tell me. They were very pleasent and offered to take me to work 8.5 miles from service station on the day they do the job. The other place in Phoenixville where I went did not offer that when I told them I may have to go to a place nearby work. Clark's offered without me even mentioning another place. although they did not work on my car yet, I have a strong feeling the work will be done well. I hear the mechanic worked for a Honda Dealership for many years.
last year i took my car for a fuel pump and i thought everything was fine, less than a year later my car dies i take it to a different person find out that it was the fuel pump was never put in correct. call jtp i was told they couldn't help me so for a mistake they did i have to pay another $700.
This past summer I took my 2004 Pontiac to get a State Inspection and Emissions. When they called to let me know that something needed to be fixed, I asked them if it was covered under warrenty's. They told me since the brake cyclinder was part of the braking system that it probably isn't covered under the warrenty. Come to find out after they called me that it is covered under my warranty AND under MOST warranty's. It is also covered under warranties that you can purcahse with USED cars with over 80,000 miles. The mechanic that called me should have suggested that I contact the dealership and make sure that it wasn't covered. After I contacted JTP, they told me that there was nothing they could do and I was stuck paying the bill. Then I did recieve a phone call from the owner telling me that he would give us a discount because he felt bad as to what had happened. We only got a 15% discount, and I had a coupon in my hand that I could have used that would have been what we had saved. There could have been better Customer service. I have heard from different mechanics and they told me in that situation with such a new car they would have suggested that I would contact the dealership before they would fix it.
I am just writing to inform everyone both of these incidents took place before Clarks Auto Repair took over what used to be JTP Auto. Due to the phone number being the same unfortunately the bad reviews stay linked to us. Please check us out on our website to learn more about the services we offer.
