Ratings_icons Best Treatment Given To My Dogs

Paula H.

I've had a great experience working with EAH. I'm very happy with the treatment my dogs receive there. The doctors and assistants are very thorough and caring. We had 2 dogs which were treated there years ago. They both lived to be 15 years old and when they got too old to be able to eat we had them put down at the hospital. The staff was very nice and considerate. We now have 2 more dogs that go there for care. These dogs come under the category 'high maintenance' so it gets expensive but if you decide to have pets you have to take care of them. I trust the people at the Erie Animal Hospital will give my beloved animals the best care available all the time. I won't go anywhere else.

Ratings_icons Erie Animal Hospital - Best Place In Town

Anonymous

I have been going to the Doctors from the Erie Animal Hospital for 3 years. The doctors and staff care about the animals and give the best treatment in town. I continually have strays and kittens and many of them are at deaths door, some have not made it, but others have and would not have if this clinic was not here. Some times there is no reason or answer for why our animals get sick, they are no different then human beings. Sometimes the doctor has to try experimental options to get the animal to respond, sometimes they are just not ment to make it. If you feel you have had not a good experience, did you talk with anyone eles at the clinic? Sometimes we think we know what our animals are into but sometimes they sneak things we don't.
I would highly recommend for anyone to bring their pet here, they will get good treatment.

Ratings_icons This place is a disgrace to the veterinary profession!

Anonymous

A doctor at this hospital may have caused my dog permanent damage with an extreme overdosage of Prednisone (we won't know until she's been weaned off it completely). She also did not recognize basic canine internal anatomy while looking at xrays of my dog. This blood panel I paid $130 for was not only botched, but read improperly. The vet read her calcium levels as being much higher than they actually were, she did not take the albumin levels into consideration. The techs were inexperienced and barely out of high school; they had to take blood from my dog twice and tore a vein in the process. Whatever they did to her when they took her away for xrays had her so terrified, she was trembling so hard she lost her footing when she returned and is now frightened of veterinary hospitals. My dog is an ideal patient: she was a kennel dog at a veterinary assistance program I attended ten years ago. She's an old pro at this. Nothing ordinary and routine they could've done would've caused her such terror.

All of my complaints have been backed up by my regular vet who was absolutely shocked at how irresponsibly they treated my girl.

I am disgusted that this place even has a license to practice veterinary medicine at all. I wouldn't even trust this place with something as simple as a vaccination.

The best vets in town. Not only are they excellent with the animals but they take their time with the patient and know the animals well. There's not a single vet there I don't care for, not something you can usually say for most vet clinics that have multiple doctors. Caring, loving and helpful. Staff is truly caring and true animal lovers. This is the only place to go for excellent care for your special pet.

Ratings_icons there is a reason they have been around for 50 years

The staff are professional and really know what they are doing. The doctors are the best around. i swear the parking lot is always full. and they have been in business since for 50 years, so they have to be doing something right. when my dog was put to sleep, everyone was very nice, we even got a card from them. calls are returned in a timely fashion, and the doctors take as much time as needed to answer any of your questions. at times the wait for your appointment is a bit longer then you would expect, but it is a doctor's office. if you need a vet, go here!!!!!!!

Ratings_icons Will never go again

I brought in my puppy to be checked because he wasnt acting himself. He was having difficulty breathing. They checked him over and seemed to be alright. They insisted i get him x-rayed to make sure he didnt have anything stuck in his throat. which i didnt want to bc it is so expensive. I dont remeber the Dr's name but he was an older guy. He asked me what my puppy ate and i told him dog food and he didnt eat no people food. The Dr then tried to make me out to be a lier by telling me I feed my puppy table food which I dont. I told him I didnt he then called me a lier. He had no right to tell me that and to call me out after I told him my puppy didnt eat table food. The Dr had no evidence of that either. The Dr then tried to tell me that my dog was eating garbage. My dog doesnt get into the garbage but yet the Dr thinks other wise. Finally my dog got tested for worms using his stool which came back negitive. The Dr had no idea what was wrong with my puppy since the x-ray came back normal. He gave me de-wormer for my puppy even though the test came back negitive. I will never come here again and do not reccomend this place to anyone.

Ratings_icons Unethical treatment of animals

kathy m.

Approximately 6 months ago I had my elderly dog put down at the above facility. I had purchased my dog at the above facility thirteen years ago. The secretary went over all the options for me and what exactly would take place. I had chosen cremation. She indicated that Burton funeral home would be handling the cremation. I felt satisfied until an ex-employee indicated that most of these animals are thrown in the dumpster. They know this because they did it regularly.
