We stayed with David and Brady in early August. The first thing you will notice is that the Inn instantly causes you to relax; the atmosphere invites you to check your tensions at the door. Then there are David and Brady, they were born to be proprietors of this charming place. They are warm, gracious, welcoming and engaging. They also have that very critical skill of knowing when to withdraw and leave their guests to themselves. The rooms are adorable and the food delicious. The lovely grounds invite you to get closer to nature and listen to the symphony of the birds. We found compelling reasons to return both to Bucks County and, most certainly, to the enchanting ??Inn To The Woods?.

Pros: Charming, Welcoming...

I can still feel the sting of the attitude I received about a year ago while, in post-engagement bliss I picked up the phone to inquire about renting the entire inn out for my wedding guests to stay overnight. We had just booked a restaurant nearby for my wedding reception and I wanted to be diligent about booking all of my vendors early. Finding a beautiful place to stay was top priority. Granted, I called more than a year in advance, (I was excited about my wedding, okay?)... but I was definitely snapped out of my good mood when the man on the other end of the phone line made it clear that he wanted nothing to do with me or my wedding-- he told me flat out NOT to even bother visiting because it "wouldn't be worth my time". I felt that he was confrontational without cause and I?m not normally a confrontational person when it comes to a simple inquiry via phone, so I was needless to say, shocked! After explaining to him my situation, I was told that they did not have rates yet for the following year. Which was fine, so I asked that if I was in the area sometime, if I might be able to take a quick tour of the place. At which point I was told flat out, "No". And so I asked, "No, I'm not allowed to stop by sometime to see the Inn?" And then he yelled, "No, it wouldn't be worth your time!" I think we then both simultaneaously hung up the phone.

Pros: sounds nice on paper

Cons: rejected by phone, never made it to the Inn

What are you doing reading this, run to Inn to the Woods for the most relaxing getaway you could imagine. From the minute we arrived Brady was asking about our likes. He immediately had information pointing us to the local vineyards and restaurants. His selections were superb. When we arrived home the first night there were brownies waiting on our bed which was turned down, a delightfull surprise. The next morning breakfast was fantastic. All I can say is wow. When we mentioned not being able to find wine glasses the night before, they were placed in our room when we arrived home the second night. We were shocked, they listened and cared. Us New Yorkers were definitely not used to that. Thank you David and Brady for the most delightful, romantic, charming get away one could ask for. We will be back over and over again.
