Just your regular local bar. Not too large but big enough to feel comfortable when packed. Pretty clean environment with decent beer selection. Needs more to offer more food and more beers would be nice.

I live right across the street from the Old Eagle. The beer selection is second to none and, as a homebrewer and fan of good beer, I really appreciate this. A friend and I got food there once. Mine was good, but her's was awful. She got a pulled pork sandwich which has a red sauce on it that made it inedible unless you were starving.

I understand a dive bar atmosphere (eg. Flat Rock Saloon) and the desire to separate yourself from a trendy place, but this place is just too rundown IMO. It wouldn't take much to give it a little makeover and have it be much more inviting while still keeping the small, dive-y atmosphere. The bartender seemed cool, albeit quiet. He had some friends in the last time I went at night and they put death metal on the juke box which just wasn't good.

The Old Eagle Tavern is a Gem. The beer selection is phenonimal, outstanding service, great people in a great part of town. The owners are committed to excellence along with the leadership and expeirence of Chris Nanni the bar manager. Chris has created an atmosphere of comfortable fun, along with great food. His bartenders are top of the line, they present a comfortable image and knowlegde of great beer and service, a warm smile, a friendly hello and a thank you. What a bar, the dog lokie is pretty cool too, all kidding aside this is a place where you really would like to go.

Several taps serving beverages such as lager, Troeg's, Yard's, etc. Premium beers are about $3. A few dart boards (2 electronic, one real), jukebox, table bowling, and a pool table. Staff is friendly, crowd is mixed (older and young alike). they also have a deent selection of beers and lambics.
