They didn't even investigate their web host to see if it might have technical issues.

In violation of Ebay policy, David Jewelers Inc., used the private information I supplied Ebay to send me unsolicited commercial emails outside of Ebay after an initial purchase through Ebay. Ebay defines this as spam, and has policies in place to protect their members from it.

After every spam they sent, I clicked on their opt-out link which brought me to their host site, Vendio. However, when I tried to click the opt out radio button, nothing happened. It didnt seem to work. I thought their website was down and decided to try again later. After 2 months of this, I finally sent off angry replies to each spam. I was surprised when I actually received a reply, albeit an insulting one, from the CEO informing me that he had removed me from their mailing list and blocked me from their Ebay store.

I then deduced that the browser I was using was likely not compatible enough with Vendio to enable the operability of many of their website features. After researching Vendio, I discovered that my suspicions were, indeed, correct. Vendios website states that many of their website features will not work unless you use the following browsers: Internet Explorer 8+, Firefox 11+, Chrome 19+, Safari 4+.

Although, I finally got unsubscribed from them after 2 months, I don't want anyone else to go through this, so am using every avenue available to warn everyone.

If you guys don't stop spamming me, I am going to give you negative feedback on ebay. I really resent that you got a hold of my email and would abuse it like this. I have already tried to unsubscribe, but with no success.

Greetings Peggy,

This is Glenn. I have removed you from our online subscriber list. I also placed in bold below the definition of SPAM. I am hoping you do not teach at The University of Washington and are a student. There is still hope for you if your are a student. Not much hope based on the tone and wording of your email. You made a purchase from us and on checkout, you requested to receive promotional emails from us. Therefore, the emails you received are not SPAM. Please read the definition a few times. Literacy is not your strong suit. Secondly, politeness goes a long way. There was nothing polite in your email. There is never an "attempt" to unsubscribe from us. There is a hyperlink at the end of every promotional email we send. The link states email preferences. If you click on the link, it opens a page where you may choose not to receive emails. I suspect you never looked for that link. The links to unsubscribe are at the bottom of an email as specified by the Canned spam act of 2003. We follow that Federal Law to the letter. Have you ever read it? You also may politely email to unsubscribe. You never have. We store all emails indefinitely. Finally, I have blocked you from purchasing from us on Bay. We have very nice employees who respect our customer. We expect respect in return. Our goal is complete customer satisfaction. However, we have no interest in self centered illiterate people. We wish you the best in purchasing items from other sellers. We also hope you learn to be polite and read up on issues for which your are emailing. Thank you.

Regards,

Glenn Rudolph, President and CEO Rozel Jewelers, Inc./DBA David Jewelers

Unsolicited Email is normal email (examples: first contact enquiries, job enquiries, sales enquiries)
Bulk Email is normal email (examples: subscriber newsletters, customer communications, discussion lists)

.

David's carries a wide range of beautiful jewlery. The staff are all very courteous, and knowledgeable about the jewlery they are selling. The prices here are compareable to other jewelers, but they usually have some great sales throughout the year. The showroom is always very clean, and there are many staff available to help with your jewelry needs. They also offer affordable payment plans for their jewelry.
