In Short
Stucco-colored treatment rooms, upstairs and down, glow warmly with candles, offering calming space for peaceful escape. A community of mind-body therapists offer services ranging from the spa's signature aromatherapy massage to wraps and educational seminars on feng shui. Terme was the first local spa to offer LaStone therapy, a massage using warm and cool volcanic stones aligned along the spine. Prenatal massage, shiatsu, Reiki, reflexology and an array of aromatherapy facials are also popular Terme treatments.

I received a gift certificate for Christmas for the spa and it was the best present I ever recieved! I arrived and was escorted to a very relaxing lounge and offered a cool beverage and a place to change into a robe and slippers. I informed the receptionist I was parked a meter and she offered to put money in my meter since I would be in service over two hours! My massage was amazing and the masseuse informed me of different holistic apporaches to treat an old injury. I then had a short break and went in for my facial which was equally as amazing. The therapists are very low pressure for sales and recommend a lot of affordable alternatives to the products I use. I normally would not slurge on spa treatments but this is one place I would definately treat myself to. I can't wait to go back!

Pros: great atmosphere, awesome staff, excellent treatments

Terme Di Aroma is my Sanctuary in Old City. I received a gift certificate for an Aroma Package and had absolutely no idea what to expect. I felt a sincere interest in my needs when I called to schedule and was warmly welcomed when I arrived in this amazing day spa. Words cannot describe my experience. Terme Di Aroma is a beautiful sanctuary hidden ffrom the bustle of the city behind a window draped in vines. My European facial and massage were incredible. I feel as if I have been bathed in beautiful aromas and healing energy.

Pros: calming environment, sincere staff, excellent therapists

The minute you enter Terme you feel serene. I treated myself for a birthday and had the warm stone massage and a terme facial. I did not want to leave. I loved that they did not pressure you to buy their products, and offered you to just stop in and relax in a serene spot,. I will not go anywhere else, and am planning my next visit.

WELL WHAT A SHAME. I READ YOUR REVIEW AND WENT HERE ONLY TO FIND A SALON WITH LIMITED SPACE,POOR SERVICE,SOMEWHAT RUDE STAFF.THERE IS NO PLACE TO CHANGE OR SHOWER,THE SERVCIES WERE HURRIED AND I WAS LEFT WAITING IN THEIR TINY LOUNGE UNTIL I COMPLAINED. THIS IS NOT A SPA-IT IS A HOLE IN THE WALL.

Cons: NO CHANGING AREA, SMALL ROOMS, RUDE STAFF

Ratings_icons What a wonderful experience

I stumbled into this spa with aches and pains and received the best massage and facial by Ana & Jessica. I've been living in the city for the past five years and findly found a special place that I can escape from the fast pace of the city and my worries. The spa is serene and warm (not like the other spas in the city). The staff were professional and cordial and I highly recommend Terme Di Aroma if you wish to rediscover your inner self. This is simply a wonderful find...for the ones who wish to simply enjoy services from the heart. Thank you again!!!

Pros: Great Customer Servic, Great Therapists, Great Shopping

Cons: None, None, None

Had heard so much about this spa.Schedualed a month in advance, couldn't wait to go. The spa itself was really nice. Great atmosphere, but not for me. Upon arival,I was guided to a lounge but offered no place to change, no robe as I noticed on other patrons. I waited in the lounge not knowing what was going on as my apt.ran 20 minutes late. My therapist finaly arrived, whisked me past many very nice treatment rooms, guiding me into my room which was pretty much a small closet, leaving my therapist limited space to move around. After a decent massage, I picked up my small pile of clothes from the floor and found my way to the checkout. No shower facilities offered, I left greasy and uneasy. The final insult? A parking ticket. Thanks Philly for another stressful, wasted trip to Center City.

Pros: decor

Cons: apt. ran late, parking ticket, no sower/sauna

I had the most wonderful experience at Terme Di Aroma. If you want to feel like a queen or a king...you must visit this spa. I've heard so many positive things about Terme di Aroma that I had to go. It took me two weeks to get a weekend appointment but now I understand the reason why. The entire staff was so REAL and PROFESSIONAL. I really felt that I walked into Shangri la. Thank you Terme Di aroma for being here.

Pros: Affordable, Excellent Therapist, Wonderful Envrioment

Terme is a oasis in Old City, where you walk into a world of serenity and warmth. The ambiance includes soft music, inviting aromas, a wonderful staff and a calm that echos throughout the building. Upon my arrival I was warmed by herbal tea and tempting chocolate pizelle's.

My masseuse Dorothy guided me downstairs for my Herbal Foot Treatment and Aromatherapy Massage, which was heaven! She took great care to massage all the areas that needed attention, while offering adivce on how to relieve some of the tension myself. She even sensed where the discomfort was and attended to those areas accordingly.

I consider myself very lucky to have found Terme and I would be unwilling to go anywhere else.
I think I might have to resort to auctioning my valuables on Ebay to fund this new habit. Thanks Terme and Citysearch!

Pros: great atmosphere, staff who love there, evening hours

Cons: needs sound proofing

Ratings_icons A Gem in Olde City

Out of all the day spas I have visited in Philadelphia, Terme Di Aroma has by far the best atmosphere. The spa smells incredible & has a dimly lit tranquil atmosphere. I had a Thai Massage with Kevin and it was truly an extraordinary experience. In addition, I had the La Stone Therapy & was in total bliss at both of my therapy. The staff is the friendliest in the city that I have seen (I'm frequent day spas once a week). The only con is that it takes a long time to get an appointment, but for such a staff with obvious expertise in their services, it is well worth the wait. This is by far the best spa experience in the city.

Pros: massage therapy, atmosphere, friendly staff

This European day spa is more than skin deep. It is a place to unwind and just be. I was given the gift of a renewal of Mind Body and Spirit package. During my time at the spa I felt as if my stresses were suspended and time stood still. I highly recommend this spa as a place to unwind and just be.

Pros: professional staff, beautiful environment, affordable
