The Sarah Street Grill, located just off Sarah Street in Stroudsburg, offers a unique dining experience. It can best be described as a sports bar with live music to which you can bring a date, celebrate an anniversary, or just grab a casual meal. They have an eclectic menu featuring a combination of fine entrees, bar food, and a Sushi bar complete with Sapporo beer or sake. There is live entertainment nearly every night, with open mic Wednesdays and a large selection of local bands.

The restaurant is large enough that if you don??t want to be overwhelmed by the music, you can sit far enough way to still carry a conversation. While they do get very busy during the dinner hours, I??ve never had to wait more than ten minutes for a table. The atmosphere consists of low lighting, with candle-lit tables in some sections. The seating is comfortable.

Dinner is pricey, averaging $14-40, depending on your choice. Pastas are at the low range, steaks at the high. But the food is excellent, never disappointing. I love their Penne a la Vodka, the sauce is rich and creamy without being overwhelming. Chicken can be added for $2 more, and the helping is very generous. I??ve always had to request a to-go box.

Even the bar food and appetizers are a bit higher than average, around $10 for a burger, $7.50 for a dozen wings. Their wings are the second best in the area in my opinion (second to Flood??s), and every burger comes with the option of replacing the meat with a veggie burger, something I??d like to see every restaurant do eventually. Children??s menu prices are all $6, and offerings are fairly limited. They offer pizza, grilled cheese with fries, chicken fingers with fries, and linguine with red sauce. I can??t comment on the sushi menu because I don??t eat fish or rice, but they claim to be the best in the area. Prices for two pieces range from $3-7. They offer about 60 different bottled beers and twelve on tap.

Due to the price, this is not a place I can afford to eat at regularly, but it is often one of my top three choices for a nice night out. Their website has a calendar with all the upcoming live acts through July. Click on the days to check out the band??s website for more information.

The Sarah Street Grill is the best restaurant in the Pocono's by far. Great food including steaks, seafood, pizza, salads, sandwiches, pasta dishes and especially the sushi. It's great that I can go in and get sushi as an appetizer and then get a burger or a steak. The bar has a huge beer selection and extensive wine list and specialty drinks. They have live entertainment every night and about 20 HD TV's with every sports imaginable. Football season is great here because every teams fans have an area and their game on the TV. I have made a lot of friends here because the staff and customers are all so nice.

The rudest staff in the area! There are plenty of other bars/restaurants to go to where you don't have to deal with the attitude. I use to enjoy the atmosphere there, but until they get some people skills, I'm over it!

Sarah Street Grill is a great place to go for a fun time, paired with great service and even better food. While it is essentially a bar, complete with pool tables, there is also a delicious selection of appetizers and entrees. This is only bar I have seen offer sushi on the menu- and very good sushi at that. If you aren't a fan of seafood, there is also a great selection of burgers that is sure to satisfy your hunger.

I love Sarah Street Grill. This is a great restaurant to eat in as well as hang out in. They have a pub feel with big screen TV's and a nice pool room but the surprise for me was the sushi bar. Yes, a full sushi bar with a great menu and good prices. One might doubt the quality of sushi you would get at a pub-style restaurant but give it a try and you will be hooked! The sushi is awesome, as is the regular restaurant menu.

Highly recommended!

GOOD PLACE TO GO IN THE POCONOS!! Food is excellent - drinks are strong and the staff is service-oriented. Great Music from the city and east coast - sushi bar that makes the best sushi in the Poconos. Deck and Pool Room are both spacious and comfortable. I hope you give this place a try, it is by far the best place in the Stroudsburg, PA area.

This restaurant is a wonderful place for good food. You can get the basics (burgers, sandwiches, salads) but you can also get Sushi. The sushi is great as well as the regular food. Service can be sort of slow at times when they are really busy but then what place isn't. The staff is always nice and the restaurant and bathrooms are clean. There is a deck for summer months and an upstairs to get away from the music. This is a great place for groups.

PROS: Large and spacious
CONS: Can be expensive.
