This school is a gem! The teachers are absolutely fantastic. My children loved it there. They do really cute crafts and projects, field trips, and holiday programs. The curriculum is great. My children were more prepared than many of their classmates when they got to kindergarten, thanks to the pre-school. I wish they offered a kindergarten class too because I would continue to send my children there if I could. They are more affordable than a lot of the other schools in the area that offer the same or less, in my opinion.

There is nothing spectacular about Methacton Mennonite -- the rooms could use a touch of new paint and carpet, the toys look like they may have come from my mother's attic -- but many of the teachers have been there for years. Their experience and level of comfort in dealing with preschoolers were reassuring for me when I sent my oldest there. He never complained about going to school and always had a good time while he was there. The lesson plans were occasionally a little questionable -- teaching 4-y-os the story of baby Moses and the little boys being killed in Egypt seems a bit much for the age -- but this seemed to be an isolated incident. For the most part, the lessons were age appropriate and light.
