This is not a generic chain store, but a real art supply place where you can get a better quality of materials. There is also the advantage that the staff knows what they are talking about, and can offer helpful guidance and tips about the things you are considering buying. Try discussing the characteristics of color depth of variuos paint brands with the clerk at the Big Box crafts stores ! As a helpful sideline, they do serious copies -- when you want a huge photocopy or blueprint reproduction, these guys can do it for you.

If you want to buy some craft to decorate your house, this is a good place to go. This store sells a lot of good quality stuff. Their staffs are also very knowledgeable. If you have any questions or need any suggestions, just ask them. They are ready to answer you. The only drawback is the price is a little bit of higher. I only buy a small portion of stuff from the store because of the price.

This store has more professional art supplies than most in this area. There are also some craft and kids' art supplies and kits. The prices are higher than art supply catalogs, but with shipping, probably come out close to even. They can also order anything you need that they don't have in stock. Parking is adequate in the rear of the row of stores, but metered. Watch out for the meter maid on the prowl during business hours.

This is one of the only real art stores in the area. The prices are high, but the selection is pretty good. They have a good printing (large format) and framing business, although this is expensive as well.
The people who work in this location know a lot about art and the different products that they sell. I would also recommend the framing department here.
