The first time I went to Sovana, I was hooked. Since then, it just keeps getting better. They have improved the atmosphere from industrial to romantic and added a bar with imported beers and a edgy atmosphere (chains in front of the bathrooms). I used to love their crab cake entree and when they changed the menu, I was delighted when the waitress arranged for me to order off menu and revisit my old favorite. The staff recently went out of their way to make sure I had a six pack to go for a birthday celebration - complete with a stylish tote! I am looking for an excuse to go back soon.

Sophisticated atmosphere along with great food and beautiful presentations. This little gem tucked away in Kennett Square is a joy to discover. Tends to get jam packed but well worth the wait.

There's something for everyone on Sovana's menu and every bit of it is terrific. Beautiful presentations, excellent service, a byo policy, and delicious food guarantees satisfaction. Whether you order a personal size pizza or a more elaborate entree, you'll be glad you chose this restaurant.

Great food, reasonable prices. The menu is that extensive, but their is something for everyone. I just had a pear salad here that was fantastic. Finding a parking spot can be a bit difficult sometimes, especially around lunch time when things are crowded.

We tried Sovana Bistro in Kennett Square last Friday. The food and the decor bear little resemblance to a few years ago. The place has expanded sideways but the main dining room is still very cramped but with white tablecloths and candles on the wall the setting is more formal. Bryan Sikora (from Django in Philly) has infused magic into the cuisine, especially the fish. For starters we had delicious mussels and crispy calamari over baby arugula, both were very good. Our hangar steak was cooked to perfection and the highlight of the meal was the whole fresh grilled fish (bronzino that night) as well as the striped bass Ifish of the day. Both were fabulous, and I am sure that there was a Django influence in these. The desserts were just fair, though, and included a so-so molten cake and an above average pear tart. Well worth the drive!
