I am a foreigner so I don't speak good English. When checking out, cashiers were rude to me and my husband. Thinking that we don't understand English they would look at each other and throw some rude comments about us and laugh. They also hate people with WIC checks there. They kept sending us back to isle to chose this or that product.
If they want more customers they have to fire most of the cashiers and managers there. Will never go back there.

This family owned Shop Rite is a neighborhood business committed to serving their customers and their neighborhood. Although all of the Shop Rite stores I have visited are clean, bright & modern, the owners and management at this store seem to go that extra mile! Customers are what they are and every store will have their share of ignorent ones. We can't change them, so let's just deal with them, management must. On a recent visit, prior to a snow storm, 16 check-outs of 17 were OPEN. That is customer service! And speaking of customer service, I would like to thank Mike Castello for being on the front end and welcoming his customers. Try to find this at a typical chain nstore. Yes, I give Shop Rite at Boulevard Plaza 5 stars. Thanks! They work for it! They deserve it!

Pros: Family Owned / Neighborhood Service / Clean

Cons: A few ignorant customers?

The customers are so rude and obnoxious, that it makes for an unpleasant shopping experience. I've seen people just fly in to other people with their cart and not say sorry. It's like shopping in another world when you enter this store. Most of the cashiers are nice though but some of the management is horrible also. And they constantly need a key for everything and then it takes forever for someone to come over and they bring their attitude with them. The one girl just threw the change in my face but thankfully the cashier was kind enough to thank me for shopping at the store. I try to steer clear of this store.

Pros: Nice cashiers, good selections, good sales

Cons: Rude management, angry people shopping next to you, long wait for manager

Shop Rite of Roosevelt Blvd. is nice place to do your grocery shopping. Their regular prices are the cheapest of most area supermarkets. Additionally, they run really great sales and offer double coupons every
day. They always have plenty of checkout help on hand, but they need it. It seems that on about 50% of the customers they have to call for a supervisor with a key. They have a bakery department that is absolutely great, certainly the best of any supermarket in the area. They also have plenty of shopping carts available.

On the down side, their produce is quite expensive, but not any more so that other supermarkets. I generally buy produce at a product store instead. The aisles could be a bit wider. Like any store, there will occasionally be pricing mistakes. The major headache is that when an error does occur you will have to go to the customer service desk, and that policy of a free item if it overscans ---- forget about it. They always have an excuse as to why the policy does not apply.

The store is not perfect, but overall I think its the best supermarket in the area in terms of quality and price.

PROS: price and quality
CONS: cashiers always need to call for a key

Excellent variety of everything in a regular grocery store plus a huge kosher food section. They have their own kosher meat section and the quality is excellent. The rest of the store has a wide variety of everything, including "weird" brands not found in other stores or diet versions of foods not usually found elsewhere. The store always has enough carts and later at night, has discounts on prepared foods.
