Food is OK. In regards to service, we ate at diner based on a 10% discount for veterans as part of the Bucks County Veterans card program-listed as "10 % off lunch/dinner-Monday-Thursday". When we went to pay check, the cashier seemed put off and wanted to know which meal was mine. She claimed only the vet gets 10% off his own meal and not the check for my family. I say go to Guiseppe's-they give 10% off for the entire check or Roman Delight-they give 20% off entire check. Poor execution of an excellent program for veterans. You can do better Eagle Diner!

Farmers breakfast for dinner included ONE scrambled egg that looked lost on the plate, two grease filled sausage, 3 small tasteless pancakes. I SHOULD HAVE SENT IT BACK. Husband had dried turkey, unedible overly seasoned stuffing, strange looking carrots his dinner included the salad bar, mine did not. My husband gave me one half piece of bread that I placed on my napkin not on an extra plate and when the waitress brought the watered down coffee she said sarcastically ARE YOU GETTING THE SALAD BAR? I said no he just shared a half piece of bread with me. SHE SAID WE HAVE A STRICT POLICY HERE NO SHARING. I only took one bite of the bread and put the rest on my husbands side of the table. I SHOULD HAVE GIVEN IT BACK TO HER. I ate the one lonely scrambled egg, I choked down one of the dry tasteless pancakes and greasy sausage and left the rest to be thrown away. Our waitress said the management watches them like cops. When tried to speak with the on duty manager Zisi and he defended his waitress about their policy. I broke the golden rule and had one half a piece of bread. I told him we would not be back he said so don't come back. Zisi is fat, I guess he is eating the profits and none left for the paying customer. There is so much competition out there and so many better places to eat. Do your homework before you spend your money. THE FOOD IS HORRIBLE, THE STAFF IS BULLIED, why would they want to work in this environment under the stress of pressured management. There are so many better places to work where they will be treated respectfully. They also display a banner claiming 2011 title of being the best diner in Buckscounty. Sorry Buckscounty if that is your best you better shop around for another one in 2012. Go online and google real customer reviews. The Eagle Diner in New Hope is dying this one will eventually catch on when customers wake up, cheap food is not good food. GOODBYE EAGLE

Their waitresses spend way too much time back in the kitchen, probably talking. they go back there and disappear so they don't have to serve diners. The owner had to bring our drinks. He brings two ice teas with no ice. When the waitress did finally come she mixed up my order. Most of their waitresses have attitudes. if you like to have to be waited on by a chick with an edge, this is the place to go. The young owner spends his time up at the register joking with the cashier and other girls instead of supervising his help. The kitchen help was sitting at a table across from us and not eating anything (wise), just staring at my wife. It was creeping her out. This is a place where the owner and staff fiqures people will come no matter how the waitresses or owner acts. After a good number of years, I am done with this place, and many of my friends are as well. Most of the faculty of a nearby elementary school avoids this place like the plague. Now I know why..the young owner seems to have his mind somewhere elseand seems annoyed to be there.

We have been going here for over 5 years now. EVERY time we have gone, we have had a great experience! Soup and Salad Bar is huge..and the ONLY salad bar I have seen with crisp white celery and fresh scallions! Three different soups on the bar too! I always order the same sauteed dinner--its incredible and not on the menu, but they make it for me. Its $14.99 (includes soup/salad bar)...I get shrimp, asapargus and scallions over a bed of buttered rice...looks great and almost every time, another diner asks me what it is!! Can never finish it of course and take leftovers home--essentuially, another complete meal. (You cannot take leftover salad home however--which may explain why one of the posts earlier to "taking away their leftovers" was done. I guess that people were simply packing another huge salad on their way out. Leftover container is clear so you can see whats inside!) The salad bar also has several assorted breads--some with cinnamon! And several desserts are there too--so you can have a tremendous meal for $14.99. My wife usually gets one of their ten "Mini-Dinners" which include the soup/salad bar too--which are $7.99 to $9.99 ---and Eagle's idea of a mini-dinner would still fill a football player's stomach!

I had lunch there today, the cashier when paying for my bill was so ignorant she grabbed the food out of my husband's hands and would not give it back.. Fat broad with unkept hair.. I called the owner, he seemed not to care..Dirty bathrooms and the aisles were not clear to get by... Ignorant people....Too many diners to visit this one again....

The chicken parm is out of this world!! I love the food at this diner. I just wish that it were a non-smoking diner!

The service is excellent and always friendly.

They have a huge selection at a decent price. Their dinner specials are phenominal. They have a salad bar which also has soups and this amazing cinnamon bread. They also have a large assortment of baked goods and a case that is right in front of the door filled with cakes on rotating display. The service is usually pretty good. The only thing I can say needs to be improved upon is the size of their glasses. They are on the small side and sometimes the waitresses don't get them filled. Not because they are being neglectful, because they are busy.

I've eaten here for both breakfast and lunch. Haven't done dinner here yet. Breakfast was great- large variety of choices on the menu along with ala carte items. Food delivered quickly. Coffee or other beverages replenished as needed. Servers were very pleasant and helpful. Lunch was also great. The homemade soup of the day was outstanding along with their massive salad bar to make a great meal. Prices are very good and reasonable. They also sell baked goods and my mother got a cheesecake that was simply incredible. Plenty of parking and seating inside. Restaurant and bathrooms were very clean.

That is my favorite diner in the neighbourhood. Besides a regular for diners menu, you will find a great salad bar selection: greens and veggies, salads, 3-4 kind of soups. Food is a very good quality and their bakery selection is great, too.

PROS: every day mini-dinner specialty where salad bar is included
CONS: fish dishes arent so great, but it is quite common for diners
