Not to Appease Mr. D Gordon, I will not respond nor retaliate to the negative response. There are always two sides to every story with this in mind. If you are a customer of ours or former customer in the past, you all know how we do business and how we treat are customers. All Positive comments would be appreciated to keep the outstanding reputation that we have had for over 28 Years. Thank you

Juniata Trading Company does not hold to their word on pricing even after they take your money. In my experience, I wanted to purchase two identical rifles. The representative researched the price of the gun and gave me a price of $629.99. I then paid Juniata 500 dollars per gun (a total of $1000) on layaway. They printed me a receipt with the price of the guns and said they would call me when the gun came in.

When the first gun came in, I went to the store expecting to pay what I owed on layaway for one of the guns (629.99 total). However, they upped the price on the first gun another 50 bucks so now I had to pay 679.99. Keep in mind I already had a receipt for how much the gun cost and already paid 500 dollars on it. I didn't give them too much grief even though I thought it was poor business practice to up prices that already are agreed upon, especially to loyal customers.

However, when the second gun came in they decided they would rather make more money off of another customer than to honor their deal with a current customer. They called me and said the other gun was in, so I went in to pick up the second gun and pay the remainder of the layaway. However, since the Newtown shootings the price they can make off of this particular gun went up. So when I went in to pick up the item, they decided they would not honor the sale they had made to me, but instead they gave me back my layaway money and put an exorbitant price on the gun.

Poor businesses practices all around, made by selfish individuals that just care about making money. Too bad they are too greedy to realize that loyal customers and a good reputation is what will keep them in business. This high price gun craze will subside and they will be left with nothing.

Juniata Trading Co. is a great place to shop. I go there often to find gifts for the guys in my family, but I can also find something for myself as well. The guys are always pleased with my gift.
The staff is very friendly and has always helped me find what I need or can get it if they don't (which isn't often). I have shopped there for many years and will continue to do so.
I know people who travel a distance from Maryland and West Virginia to shop at Juniata Trading Co. The variety is great, as well as the quality of merchandise; comparible to namebrands found in Cabelas.
I like the small town personality with the high end selection; Rocky, Under Armour, Realtree, Carhart, Remington, the list is endless.

one end there is fishing and hunting supplies with huge stuffed animal adorning the walls and floor displays. the other end is candles, cards and everythign country. When you go with the wife you can go to your seperate ends and meet in the middle to the clothing section, tons of leather and even some rabbit skins to adorn your cabin in the woods. Great place!
