Pizzutti's is the place to go if you want to get away from the bustle of Walnut St. The bruschetta and ravioli of the day are definite must-haves. It's BYOB, but they do provide a complimentary glass of wine to each guest if you've forgotten to bring yours. Service could be a little bit more attentive, but overall I've had good experiences there.

The food is generally very good, home-made gnocchi and ravioli being excellent. Desserts are also nice, although not as striking as the pastas. The ambient is really welcoming, but the waiters - I must say - not extremely friendly. It may be useful to warn you that only cash or checks are accepted, no credit or debit cards. Although they could not serve any bottled wine to accompany the nice entrees, mine was a positive experience.

Pros: good food, nice ambience

Cons: No credit cards, no wine

What a charming little place, with a nice prix fix menu for lunch. I had the gnocchi, even though I usually get gnocchi and am disappointed. Not the case here! They were light, and the sauce was tasty. The people with me got the fritatta of the day claiming the sausage in them was "the best theyd ever have" The place is BYOB but we were each poured a complimentary glass of a very tasty house wine. Looking forward to trying this place for dinner sometime.

Just a few blocks away from the big bustle of Shadyside's Walnut Street, Pizzutti's warmly welcomes diners for a relaxed lunch or a romantic dinner. The decor aims for rustic Tuscan, channeling the vibe of a Florentine trattoria. All is…
