This place is wonderful for those who love history, art, trains and antiques. I recommend any school should take a field trip for fun learning. I also recommend going there, its worth the low entrance fee and you don't have to pay to park!

This is on of those places that is truly Americana. You've got to stop here to believe it. The large amount of mini villages with the trains going. A great place for train lovers.

The Roadside America is quite a unique display of miniature villages and trains. The detail is incredible, but much of the atmosphere is dated. None-the-less, this is an excellent diversion when making the long drive through Pennsylvania. Give it a try.

Roadside America is one of those off-the-beaten-path type of attractions. It's relatively near tourist meccas like Hershey, but far enough away that visitors might not hear about it or want to make the trek. For locals, though, and anyone who does venture out there, it's a treat. I remember visiting Roadside America when I was a kid, and not much has changed since then! But that's not a bad thing--it's still pretty amazing. The main part of the attraction is the humongous train display. It takes up an entire (large) room. You can spend lots of time walking around the display, examining each little scene that's been created. There are waterfalls, towns, countrysides... and it's especially neat if you stay long enough to experience at least one nightfall. The overhead lights dim, and little lights pop on all through the display. There's really a lot to see. The gift shop(s) include lots of train-related items, of course, but also other interesting local items. You don't have to be a train-lover to enjoy Roadside America.

This a quaint little shop that has an enourmous train display. You can stop at several locations around the display and push buttons to activate trains and/or equipment. My train loving son can't get enough. The shop is old and the display probably hasn't been updated for 20 years, but it still amazingly large. Coupons for this attraction are available in the local entertainment book.

PROS: great fun for train lovers
CONS:
