I have been going to Salon Norman Dee for about 3 years now and am always pleased with how my highlights and cut turn out. The stylists seem equally willing to give helpful suggestions to find a cut and style that fit the customer or to follow a picture. Given the services provided, the prices are comparable to other quality salons. If you make an appointment for a Saturday, I recommend getting one for as early as possible, as the place is packed and appointments sometimes run behind.

I have been a customer of Salon Norman Dee's for about 10 years now. I have tried other salons that charge a similar amount $45 for cut & blow dry but always come back here. In particular the stylist that I love & have gone to for about 2 years is Joanne. She is perky & sweet and when I bring a picture of a style I want to try she does it just like the picture but better because it looks good on me, not some perfect model :) I will always go there as long as Joanne is there-hopefully for a long time!

BEWARE of THERMAL RECONDITIONING

Last week I had my hair chemically straightened for $550. I went to this salon for this service because it received an award for this process in 2004. I had it straightened several years and liked the results. However, this past week after getting my hair straightened by a new stylist, I am angry to report I have two large bald spots on my head and severe scalp irritation. This is due to poorly trained stylist leaving the chemical in for too long. I am completely devasted by the results and cry myself to sleep every night thinking about my time and money wasted. Moral of the story, it's the stylist that makes or breaks this process, not the salon. Just because they won awards for it in the past does not mean every stylist in the salon deserves the title of "highly qualified." I feel like a fool and urge you to not ever go there for thermal reconditioning.
Cons: will leave you with bald spots in your head and nothing can be offered to fix it

Very nice place and great staff

This is a real salon and I am going to keep going here for all of my hair styling and waxing. The other place I had been going has gone downhill and is very bad now.
I love this place and especially roger and arthur.

Seeing Red

I recently had a manicure and pedicure at Salon Norman Dee because I was preparing for a special night out with my boyfriend. First, the technician cut my toe (it was bleeding pretty bad) and the cuticle on some of my fingers. Then, I decided on a red polish and the paint job was probably the worst I've ever seen. It was very sloppy and all over my cuticles on both my hands and feet (not to mention the open cut mixed with the polish on my big toe). As soon as I got home I took all the polish off and re-did my nails myself. I didn't have time to re-do my feet so I wasn't able to wear my new open toe shoes. I will go somewhere else next time.
Pros: Nice salon, smells good, clean
Cons: Poorly skilled and sloppy nail technician

best haircolr and cut

Gia the colorist is terriffic. She know what I needed and reassurred me several times. It was the best color I've had in a long time. And Suzanne gave me a great haircut and style. I've never seen someone take so much time and care in cutting my hair.

great highlights

For the first time last week I went to Salon Norman-Dee and i love my highlights!!! Gia did my color and Lisa my cut. My friend recommended that i go there. And i'm so happy i did!!
Pros: the shampoo girls give great scalp massages too!!
