I really hate to write a bad review about anyone but I feel that it is important to let everyone be aware of what this place is all about. My husband and I bought a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee from this place and it only had 64,000 miles on it. We told them that we were going on a trip the next day and we needed to have a good running truck to get there and back. We left with our new truck and went straight home to start backing. We got up the next morning to leave and we went maybe 10 miles and the truck started to over heat and finally we had to stop and get it towed because we didn't feel safe. We called Pittsburgh Auto Depot and they said that the Jeep ran great and we must have really drove the Jeep hard and that we would have to get it fixed. Well at this point we decided not to go on our trip and to take care of this problem. We took it to our mechanic to have him look at it and he said it was a bad head gasket and it looked like it has been bad for awhile and that Pittsburgh Auto Depot had to of known it was bad because of how quickly it over heated. It cost us $1800.00 to get it fixed because the warranty company said they wouldn't pay for it because we just got the Jeep a day ago. I tried to talk to someone at Pittsburgh Auto Depot but they never returned my 11 calls. If you have to buy a car here make sure you have extra money to get it fixed. Trust me there are better places to buy a car or SUV in Pittsburgh.
You guys have competitive prices and what makes it even better is that you were willing to work out the financing part with me. I'm glad I was stopped in and gave you guys a shot! Anyone else in Pittsburgh should at least go check them out, I'm positive you'll find something you'd like.
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!!! My mother purchased a car from this place and let me tell you something. I don't know how these people sleep at night. I can't understand how they have so many new good reviews on the net. I looked at some from a couple of months ago and let me tell you they were all bad and I see why. I'm not going to get into detail with what they did to my mother but I will say that my family will never go back to this place. Angain I think there is something fishy going on with a bunch of reviews on here because after talking to some of my friends and co workers I realized what kind of people and business this place is. They got her bad with this hunk of junk and they know that the car was bad. What makes me upset is that it wasn't a $4000.00 car it was a $13,000 car that they had to know the Transmission was going bad because it was slipping when they sold her the car. It was leaking transmission fluid the first day she got it and brought the car to me to show it off to me. What really makes me mad is that when she called to tell them about it they told her that it is a used car and she sould of took it somewhere to have it looked at. WTH!!!
Let me start by saying that I have never wrote a review for anything. I went here because I have heard so many commercials for this place and 2 of my friends just bought cars from them 4 days ago. We all thought the same thing when we went in to buy them. SHADY PEOPLE. Well guess what we were right. My car is a 2005 Ford Explorer with 82,000 miles on it and my 2 friends bought similar types. The second day I got mine I broke down on the highway and had to have it towed. I called them the next day and they told me that I must have drove it to hard and that they couldn't help me. I had to spend $1200.00 to get it fixed so it was safe to drive it. I'm in the the process of taking them to court as we speak. My friends had similar problems but it didn't cost them as much to get there cars fixed. We are all getting togather to take them to court with the same attorney to cut our cost a little bit. Do yourself a favor and GO ELESWHERE!!

I recently stopped at Pittsburgh Auto Depot to look at a couple trucks they had advertised online. Upon arrival, I immediately spotted the trucks I was interested in so I began my usual walk around. I noticed 3 things very quickly. 1. The truck had been haphazardly spray painted in the wheel wells and running boards (tubes actually). 2. An employee started heading my way as soon as I approached the vehicle. and finally (perhaps most importantly) 3. The employee quickly turned the other way when he spotted me stooping down to look at the frame and lower portions of the vehicle (you know the parts that rot out first and are often covered up by used vehicle sellers). His abrupt "About Face" told me that he wanted to be spared the embarrassment of having the cover ups revealed. I noticed that the spray paint in the wheel wells was to cover up the rusty, scabby frame and undercarriage. However, to be honest, the frame was still in tact and its life could prolonged by actually cleaning up the flaky rust and painting it properly. After all, it is a used truck, not a new one. However, I was sure that I should be thorough. I felt around the lower portions of the body and when I reached the cab, my hand went straight through the rocker and a pile of rust flakes and powder lay on the ground. I walked away at this point. Pittsburgh Auto Depot advertises this truck on auto trader for $7995 as if it is some sort of great deal. In Excellent condition it is worth about $8500 and the truck is far from excellent. Don't be fooled. The vehicles on their lot are clean looking and detailed, but check carefully. Sure am glad that I did! Rusted out '01 F-150's can be found for thousands less any day. Maybe this place does have some decent vehicles for sale, but personally I won't do business with a place that tries to cover up major flaws and act as if they are giving you a deal by knocking $500 off of Excellent condition price.
My husband and I purchased a vehicle from Pittsburgh Auto Depot back in June. Needless to say that the experience has been very exhausting!....I have reported them to the BBB and the Attorney General and scheduled an appointment for the Magistrate. I dont want to see anyone go thru what we have gone thru....dont not purchase from this establishment!
I had a great experience at this dealership. It seems family-owned yet they were so professional. I bought a 2000 Nissan Max from them in January 09 and Its still running perfect. Aside from the oil change and one new tire, this car runs fantastic! The workers were so friendly and helpful in finding the car I wanted. The showroom was really nice - nothing like it in route 51. I would recommend this dealership!
Pros: friendly, helpful, awesome showroom!!
Cons: no complaints
Initially I was pleased with my car until two months after purchase. I started to have transmission problems. I called the warranty company to see if that was covered, and they told me that my warranty was expired due to the mileage. I knew that was not possible because it had almost 93,000 miles at purchase, the warranty company had record of almost 92,000 miles. How does one make such a mistake with the mileage on a car? It was not a mistake. I was ripped off out of my warranty because Dan (the individual who sold me the car) purposely put the wrong mileage on my paper work. I took it to Aamco, they informed me that it was three leaks in the transmission that will cost me over $700.00. They also told me that upon reviewing my transmission they could see where someone put some kind of sealant over the leaks so they knew when they sold me the car that the transmission was leaking
Pros: help people with blemished credit purchase a vehicle
Cons: dishonest in business dealings

THE WORST DEALERSHIPS I EVER DEAL WITH.
This guys post their cars for EXTREMELY low prices. ONLY for one reason:
they want you to come & look at their garbage.
They'll never tell you real price of vehicle by phone.
& if you'll come to them & say you found a good deal for their car in internet you'll hear smth like this:
"Oh i'm sorry we have just lost the key for the vehicle & cant show it to you, but we have another one just like this & we have keys for that..."
All their cars are in very bad shape. I seen that.... they have a lot of them but never take care. They making pictures wich never show you the worst parts of vehicle.
Engines are in very bad mechanical shape. Look... their cars are ALL leaking oil!!!
They'll sell it to you with 30days warranty & no obligation from their side....
Actually you'll pay double prices for the junk they have...
NEVER EVER COME TO THIS GUYS. LEMON SELLERS.
Pros: LEMON SELLERS
Cons: bad cars ever
I am suprised that this auto dealerghip received and 8.4 rating overall. I purchased a Chevy Blazer from Pittsburgh Auto Depot in May 2006. This car was sold to knowingly as a LEMON. I have had so much trouble with this vehicle. I was trying to get a vehicle as well as get my credit back on track. I begged the dealership to let me return the vehicle within 24 hours of purchase. The transmition blew within 4 days off the lot. They sent me to Cottman Transmition in West Mifflin. I was assured the vehicle was fine, after it had been worked on for 17 days. I picked the vehicle up, and the car blew up on Rout 51. The was so much smoke and it was so unsafe. Anither tow and the police were called as I was blocking traffic on Rout 51. I had the vehicle towed back to the dealership. The took it upon themselves to have it towed back to Cottman Transmition. Afer an additional 26 days I was told that under the warranty a 30,000 mile transmition had been replaced in the car. Still the vehicle would not go into gear. I was now told it is a computer problem not telling the gears to shift. I knew this vehicle was trouble that is why I wanted my down payment bacl instantly, and they would not give it to me. In addition the service egine light is on, the brakes are burning and the gas gage was also sold to me broken. Why could they just do the right this and take the vehicle back the next day when I realized I had made a major mistake. Good Luck. Do your research before EVER purchasing a vehicle from this establisment. Tamara Lang
Cons: They sell Dangerous vehicles
