I would have to completely disagree with the previous review... My family and I are new to the area and we had been going to St. Eugene without knowing we were not within the boundaries and should be attending a different church. We really liked the community and talked to the priest about registering there and he instructed us on what we needed to do to become parishioners. I contacted the church within our boundaries and got the permission I needed from the priest there to be able to register at St. Eugene. We were welcomed with open arms and the priest is anything but a "pompous jerk". If anything the writer of the previous review was truly not attending mass and the church was aware of their absence. If you had truly been attending that church for 5 years the church would know you and your family very well by then and you would know the character of the priest and would be embarrassed to write your review. It is sad that when people do not get what they want because of their own actions they take it upon themselves to publicly bash... and bash a church at that. You should be ashamed!

.

Very unwelcoming. After 5 years as a parishioner attending services and making my weekly donations, I was told I was no longer a member and could not get documentation to be a sponsor for a confirmation because I did not live in the "correct area."The priest is a pompous jerk and was rude to my spouse because he was not of the Catholic faith.
