4 Stars: Recommend for fast service (by Ron C.)

Yes they were prompt. Yes they were clean. Yes I was given a quote before the job began. Thought that the price quoted for the work was a little high, but I guess everything is getting more expensive these days. ($260 for recharging AC) Overall a good experience.

5 Stars: Gillece installed a free faucet because of same day guarantee! (by J. Howard J.)

Same day service guarantee can get you free work done if you have the time to be rescheduled. I scheduled an appointment for them to install a faucet in my kitchen that I had purchased at Home Depot. I didn't really need the same day service guarantee, but when they tried to reschedule me because they were busy, I reminded them of their ad in the phone book about same day service. The girl put me on hold and came back on a minute later and told me that my call qualified for the same day guarantee, and that they would be out the next day to install the faucet for free and that all I would have to pay for was the parts. Guess what? They didn't even charge me for the parts that they used off their truck. If you have the time, wait them out and let them live up to their guarantee. It worked for me.

2 Stars: Do Your Homework First! (by Sedona S.)

Gillece was here on a holiday weekend within 2 hours of my call. After not being able to unclog my main sewer with 75 feet of cable, they did not charge me for the job. HOWEVER, they did warn me that I had a "dire situation" on my hands and needed to have my main sewer replaced ASAP. They warned me not to use my toilets or any water in my home as I was having a sewage back up into my basement. They would be happy to use their video camera but I would have to sign on the dotted line for them to do the work in order for the "free video inspection". I asked for a price to replace the sewer and they told me they could not quote me one but it was fair to say that the ballpark figure was going to be between $2300.00-$5500.00 per day to replace my sewer! (everything included and lifetime guarantee, of course). I told them "no thank you", called another plumber and he had the sewer cleaned out and running in an hour. The whole job cost me $120.00. My only problem was roots and with an extra 15 feet of cable the new plumber was able to unclog everything. He was baffled as to why Gillece had told me my sewers had to be replaced. Could it be that they knew I was a single woman? If you know your problem is a main sewer clog, it would not hurt to give them a call but do your homework before signing anything! Thanks to the honesty of other Gillece customers posting on this site, I did not take the bait.

1 Stars: They will HOSE YOU! (by kathleen s.)

The way this company inflates their prices should be a crime. If you want to get hosed, then by all means hire this company. They will come to your house to do the "free scope". They will tell you they can't get through your cast iron pipe. They will tell you that the scope is not "for you" but "for them" and that they are not going to tell you where the problem is. They will then tell you that it will cost you 4,300 just to excavate to get past your cracked trap to do the video inspection. They will then arrogantly ask you if your "ready to sign on". They will tell you that they don't do paper estimates, and that the going rate for "your area" for sewer line repairs is 4,000 per day. If you have a brain and don't have issues with your temper, you will, instead of telling them to get the hell out of your house, kindly ask them to leave, apologize for wasting their time and you will then go to a plumbing company that actually cares about you and your family by way of not just wanting your money, and you will have your scope done and your trap repaired and it will cost you between 750.00 and 900.00 dollars. This is what I did and this was the exact experience I had with the gilece employee that showed up at my house to do my "free scope" and "free verbal estimate"

5 Stars: Customer for Life (by Shannon C.)

I am filling this out to recognize an outstanding employee. Scott had been to my house once before, but not to try and find my lost wedding rings, his thoroughness, thoughtfulness and understanding went way beyond that of the average employee. I am convinced that good fortune and blessings were on my side today. When I first called in, Gillece's staff quickly arranged an emergency appointment - Scott arrived an hour later and one of two rings were excavated from my drain pipes. I am convinced that without this expert and conscientious service my rings would be forever lost. I am a forever customer and will recommend Gillece to my friends and neighbors. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

1 Stars: Don't get fleeced by Gillece (by Joe M.)

Gillece came to my house to unclog the main sewer stack. After many attemps were unable to do so, they wanted over $5000 to dig up the basement floor and replace the main sewer to the street.
They told me this after they had already said that the clog was in the stack pipe, which is the main vertical pipe in the house. I told them no thanks and got it fixed that day for less than 10% of Gillece's quoted price. My advice to anyone that gets a quote for that much money....it never hurts to get a second opinion.

5 Stars: EXTRA-Ordinary Service (by Beth G.)

I am so impressed with this company. We place such a high expectation on other services such as FedEx to deliver a package on time, yet we sometimes don't appreciate it when someone really does show up on time in reponse to an emergency---less than an hour after I called Gilece, a very respectful young man showed up at my door and imediately set my mind at ease that he was going to take care of my backed up drain in my basement and garage. Not only did they take care of my immediate drain back-up, they also had a supervisor at my home before the first plumber left to verify that the first guy had done a complete job by looking at the sewer with a camera snake. I doubt if I called FedEx or UPS that they would have two trucks to my house within a couple of hours. BRAVO Gillece. I highly recomend you to anyone and will recomend you to all of my friends and family

5 Stars: Worth Every Penny - I Disagree with Kathleen (by Betty B.)

I just had the Gillece employees replace my entire sewer for me for $9100. They were here all week and worked long, long, long days to get the work done. It was a major job with piles of dirt everywhere, but the workers were so professional that I can hardly say enough about them. If you hire them to do work for you youll be impressed too. Everything is cleaned up, back to normal and our toilets are flushing again. It was worth every penny. I even tipped the guys - Ryan and Larry - for working so hard.
