I told the lady that she was out the hospital if they could please take her. She didnot speak hardly any english. she kept on saying she was suppose tocome on her appointment day. tried talking to someone else, but would not let me talk to anyone. I would not refer anyone to your store. This store in MALL OF LOUISIANA IN BATON ROUGE,LOUISIANA. How you stay business I donot know.

Davids Bridal Experience in Indiana

by Samantha C.

I could have been greeted when I walked into the store and not glared upon since I didn't make an appointment at both Castleton and Greenwood David's Bridal stores. I knew what I wanted and that I wanted to buy my Bridal Party's gowns from a David's Bridal, but the service was horrible at both locations. I will never recommend the Indianapolis-Greenwood and Castleton store unless there is no place else left to go. I have multiple Bridesmaids from different states and David's Bridal is the only place that has the ability for me to register and choose the dress when there is other David's Bridal in other states also. It is the easiest way to do this whole wedding party. Big time money is being spent, I have 6 people in the Bridal Party and regularly the dresses are $180.00 so $1,080.00 may not be even spent because of the horrible service and both locations.

Davids Bridal Corporate Office

by Tiffany W.

Extremely Poor Service - 2 times I am exceptionally disappointed with the service I received from your Stone Crest Lithonia, GA store, Saturday, 10/10/2009 from Sandra. She was very rude, talked down to me, yanked your dresses off me and left 2 of the ones I was supposed to try on were still on the side rack. She brought when I finished trying on dresses. When trying on each dress, I was told that I should have waited for her to help me get in the dress or gone ahead and put something on. If she did not tell me what our next steps are, then how am I supposed to know what to do? Most people guide you through what will happen next. I addressed these issues with her and she said she was fine. She acted as if I was 15 or 17 years old and not a grown woman [I do look half my age and get carded frequently]. This is the 2nd time I have experienced behavior that less than ideal from Davids Bridal. The first was at the Southlake Morrow, GA location March 7, 2006. I went in to look at Brides Maid dresses for a wedding I was in and was going to help the traveling Bride decide which would be best for all of the Brides Maids to wear. I was treated with major attitude that was superfluous. How would I recommend us purchasing dresses from this company? I did not. We went to another well-known store to get our dresses and were given our measurements hassle free.

A really good sale was going on at the end of September and beginning of October, so I just knew I would find my dream dress and I did at the Stone Crest, Lithonia, GA store [on 10/10/09]. It is the ballroom gown dress. I was ready to make my purchase and already had my shoes; however I was told I had to make an appointment, even after I tried on dress # 3. What difference would it make at that point? I was already in the store, fitting room and in a dress. This behavior is uncalled for and as an Event Planner will help me pass on via word of mouth not to shop at Davids Bridal ever again. I have purchased my ballroom gown from Savvi, the best Bridal Store in the world.

Bridal Store From Hell

by Rose A.

Bought daughter's wedding dress at DB in Monrovia, CA. Terrible experience with alterations. The dress was ripped at the seam, dirty, and unpressed when we went to pick it up. They did not put in the bustle that had been discussed but added their own large button that looked ridiculous from behind. They charged us much more than was originally quoted to us. We had to go back twice to get them to fix the damage. The seamstress was rolling her eyes when we showed her the damage and inappropriate bustle and she kept telling us the dress could not be pressed! After we insisted, we left with everything taken care of but it was not a pleasant experience at all. My daughter cried twice out of the four times we were there. Not acceptable!!!! I can't believe corporate allows this kind of service.

Davids Bridal Corporate Office is DISHONEST!!!

by Charita W.

According to my experience, I filled out an employment application and the same day set up an appointment for an interview. To make a long story short,I had 3 interviews.1with a young lady named Tasha,1 with the store manager Pam and 1 with the district manager Jessica Reynolds. On the interview with Pam,she had me to come in and observe one Sat. morning. After the observation, she gave me all kinds of employment information. Then, she told me that I would recieve a call from the district manager Jessica R.After a couple of days,I get another call from Pam stating that Jessica wants me to give her a calll the next day at noon. The next day,I call Jessica and everything goes very well.Jessica stated that they interview 20 people and only 1 gets to her and that 1 was obviously me.Then she (Jessica)said that Pam will call me soon and set up a time to finish the rest of the hiring details.I waited 1 week, I waited 2 weeks,I waited 3 weeks. On the 3rd week,I called and left my info for Pam and did not recieve a call back until Thursday.Pam answers the phone.I say hello Pam just the one I was looking for!this is blah... blah..blah.Pam acted as if I were someone calling for the first time. She acted as if she didn"t know me at all!!!She asked me if I had spoken to anyone.I told her yes that I had spoken to her directly face to face a couple of times and to the district manger Jessica R.Then she said "oh I called you this morning, i think the lady that took your name spelled it wrong".My heart dropped!!! Anytime I leave a messege with someone,I ALWAYS spell my name to make sure they have it and all of my info correct. So, obviously she lied because I had been home all day sitting by the phone and my cell phone also. I can understand if they found someone else and it probably just slipped her mind to call, but to lead me on thinking i had the job, avoiding me and then lying to me over the phone is just down-right DISHONEST AND DISRESPECTFUL!!

Davids Bridal Corporate Office is not worth working for

by Anita A.

September 28, 2009
Davids Bridal
5874 Eastex Fwy
Beaumont, TX 77708-4824
(409) 347-1161
Management Department:
This is a complaint filed in the Jefferson County Court House dated, September 28, 2009 against the management of Davids Bridal Corporation. I Anita Arceneaux worked for Davids Bridal as a presser from June 15, 2009 to September 19, 2009 for 8.50 per hour. I was to receive a raise on August 1, 2009 which was not put into effect by the manager directed from the District Manager from Houston Texas and a payment for travel expense dated July 3, 2009 for traveling to the Houston store for training of 125.00 on 3rd of July. I worked for the company for the pay period beginning September 6th to September 19 and did not receive a pay check that should have been direct deposited in to my Chase Bank account on September 24, 2009. This complaint is to acknowledge that I was unlawfully dismissed from my job by the manager of the Beaumont store location. I made arrangements with another employee to cover my shift dated September 19, to cover the store schedule. The manager called me on that date rudely and with disrespect; spoke to me in an angry tone and said if I did not show up for work from 4-7 I would be fired in which I tried to explain to her at that time I made arrangements for coverage and I would show up for work at an earlier time if she needed me but she hung up the phone without giving me time to explain my circumstance. On Sunday I called the Alterations Manager for my schedule and found out that I was not placed on the schedule for the week beginning September 20, 2009. I do have documentation of all events in question and witnesses that I did leave the alteration manager nor did I disrespect the assistant manager by leaving a statement which was not at work at the time of the events in question that I had made arrangements for store coverage and would never leave the store without the schedule being covered. This has made me to take actions in filing a complaint for wages not paid for the time worked for travel expenses and being fired without an explanation.
Thank you,

Davids Bridal is a nightmare

by Pamela H.

My daughter bought a dress from David's Bridal in York PA. The dress fit perfectly, but was too long. The alterations lady, who barely spoke English, told her to leave everything at the store and come back in 3 weeks for another fitting. When she went back, they had lost the under-bodice and scolded her for taking it home and losing it. There wasn't another in her size so they gave her one that was too large. When she tried the dress on, they could not zip it. The alterations lady said that my daughter was now "chubby" and it wasn't their fault when brides get fat. Can you believe anyone would be so rude? Then it got worse, 2 more alterations women appeared and all three of them, in broken English, started yelling at my daughter about being fatter than the fitting day until she cried. It turned out that they had taken tucks in the dress, when the work order only stated to shorten the gown. They refused to fix it without charging double the alteration fee, even though it was their fault. Also, she had purchased lace straps to be added and the straps were 2 different lengths so 1 kept falling off. My daughter finally took everything and left in hysterics, with the wedding only 10 days away and out of town. The next day she called David's Bridal in Harrisburg PA and told the store manager there what had happened. She was wonderful and outraged at York. She had us bring the dress in, they undid the tucks while we waited and once again the dress fit. They fixed the strap lengths, found an under-bodice that fit and exchanged it for the large one, then only charged a minimal alteration fee. In my opinion, the York PA store ought to be closed down if they can't do their jobs right and treat customers better. I'm telling everyone I can to find a better place to shop. If corporate is not reading these reviews, they are as stupid as the York alterations people.

poor product and poor quality service

by lori k.

I hope someone important reads this forum. I am a bridesmaid who was made to purchase a particular dress and shoes(dyeable) at DB. Ok that is fine I want the bride to be happy it is her wedding however when I went in and made the order for my dress the consultant named Courtney told me that it would not be ready until 9-16-09 and I placed my order on 8-5-09, she said that the bride is the one who gets called when the dress is ready and I politely asked her if she would make sure that I get called as well because the bride and I have very different schedules and it is hard to be in contact with each other. I saw Courtney and still have the signed paper with my phone number on it for me to be called. So come 9-16-09 it is a few hours before the store closes I had still not received a call saying my dress was ready so I decided to call and check on it-come to find that my dress was there and no one had called me! When I went into the store the same night I happened to walk in with a lady(unknown to me) at the same time and we were both picking up our dresses. I am 22 years old the other woman was probably in her 40s and the consultant decided that she was going to try and make the other lady as happy as she could while blowing me off. After waiting for my dress and signing for it I had to remind the consultant that my order also had shoes with it and after waiting again she went to get them and gave them to me and started talking with the other lady again. When I looked at the tag that was on the dress it said that the arrival date was 8-14-09!! No one had called me and it was in for that long! I tried to ask the consultant if it was the shoes that took so long and she said they were sitting on the top like they had been done awhile but I dont know. So instead of looking into it for me she decided to keep helping the other woman. I can understand giving quality customer service but I had paid money for my things too and no one had told me they were ready and it seems they have been for awhile and then I blown off when I am in the store! On top of that when I got home the shoes were dyed from white to wine and they have gem stones on them and the dye got all over them-so I cant clean it at home becuase the dye is sensitive to moisture and the stones will not shine because they are covered in wine colored dye. I did not want to use DB for my own wedding before this and now I will tell everyone I know to not even consider it!!!

Time wasted at Conshohocken Store

by roberta f.

My fiance and I stopped at the Conshohocken store on Sauturday 9/12/09. I gave my name to to the receptionist and waited 45 minutes. Finally I asked when I would be assisted. I was then told they were backed up and could I return in two hours. IF I had been told of the wait in the beginning I probably would have returned. But not after waiting 45 minutes. We left and took our business elsewhere.

Davids Bridal Corporate Office is very disappionting

by susan f.

today is 09/12/09. my wedding is on 10/10/09. my moh got a call today from your store in niles, oh about her dress being the wrong color. they told it was 1 shade darker than the champagne clor she was supposed to have. well we ran to the store right away and wow yup it was the wrong color alright but was a chocolate color!!!! not even in the same family as gold or champgne. the 1 girl supposively helping us(i didn't get her name) was rude and never once apoligized. aslo 2 of my girls did not get wraps with thier gowns when the other 2 did. they were supposed to be ordered with the gowns. and i was told that they didn't order them because they girls did not order them . i told her that they were supposed to be automatically ordered as the profile stated!! also my other two girls did not have to tell them to orde the wraps. i got nothing but attitude and this was not the 1st problem i have had with the store but the 3rd!!!. i am getting very angry and want something done about this. i did suggest that my moh dress be altered for free for she would be set back a week now because of this and she has been waiting to get her shoes til the dress came in. they said well we will have to check with our corporate office first. they did order the wraps for them as well today but we should have at least gotten some other compisation for all these major mistakes. i have been in customer service managment for years and would have never in a million years have treated a customer this way if i had made a mistake. i would have made sure i bent over backwords for my customer to fix the problem and definately made up for the mistake somehow. everyone in the wedding (myself, all my bridesmaids and both mothers got our gowns there). and spent plenty of money!!!!!! if i would have known that i was going o be having so many issues i would have never gone there. i would like someone to contact either my mother, elaine frank (724-346-4517)or myself, susan frank(724-699-8891) about this for i really would like to know what is going to be done about this. also i will be getting the name of the girl that handeled this today. i gave you alot of business and spent alot of money, what r you going to do for me?

DAVIDS BRIDAL NOT HELPFUL; THIS IS A LETTER THAT I SENT TO THEM

by Jane D.

Thank you for sending me the brief survey to fill out about my experience with your company. This is a GREAT time for me to express my feelings. I have given you very low marks on your survey and want to discuss each category.

My overall shopping experience was miserable. FIRST, I think its absurd that you make it mandatory that all your customers fill out their personal information before trying on a wedding dress. I also would like to know where on this application I gave Davids Bridal authority to share my personal information? Also, are the cards I filled out still on site for me to review? Since my overall shopping experience was so terrible, I have spread the word not to ever shop at your store again! Word of mouth is the best way to get information around, and trust me; I have turned many of my single friends away from your store.

The selection at Davids Bridal is great! There are many gowns to choose from. I did not like how I could not handle the gowns myself, and how I had to have an appointment. Thats nonsense. Selection is great, but only if you have associates willing to help that are knowledgeable.

The prices are fair. HOWEVER, THE CONSULTANTS FAIL TO TELL YOU THAT ALTERATIONS AT DAVIDS BRIDAL ARE AS MUCH AS THE GOWN. This was a total turn off for me. A dress costing $399 on the rack may turn into a $700 dress if you are not careful because of the added cost of alterations.

The qualities of the dresses were just okay for me. I expect a bridal store to have nothing but top-notch quality of dresses. Some of them appeared to be picked, but I wanted more in reference to style. Many of them were plain looking and not original.

The sales consultants were WORSE than used car salesmans. Im a size 12 in a wedding dress, and if I tried on a size 8, they had all the answers on how to make this dress work for me. I want someone that will be honest. I value honesty and thats NOT what your consultants offer. YES, they do want to make a sale, but dishonesty is not the answer. Also when I called back numerous times to discuss the cancellation of my event, NOT ONE MANAGER COULD GIVE ME THE SAME ANSWER AS THE OTHERS! Their answers were not consistent. And I always received the run-around when I asked questions.

The store atmosphere was acceptable. It was clean. There werent many people there when I went.

I have discussed alterations in the above paragraphs.

I have not purchased a gown at Davids Bridal and dont plan on it. My wedding was cancelled and I called in March to have my name taken off the distribution list of junk mail and sales pitch calls. AGAIN, I would like to know where I checked the box that gave Davids Bridal permission to share my personal information with other companies? Since March, I have been contacted by phone over 5 times and I have called Davids numerous times to have me removed from the list, and nothing was ever accomplished. (You can access your notes on the computer) Since the cancellation of the event, its a constant reminder every time I get something in the mail or one of your staff calls in their happy cheerful voice of what I will not be having; a wedding. A wedding is already stressful enough, and Davids Bridal made it worse! And so after I ask not to be contacted, I STILL RECEIVE THIS SURVEY IN THE MAIL.

Dont you guys get it? I dont want anything from you!!!!!

I hope I have ruined your reputation. AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THERE ARE OTHER PLACES THAT LADIES CAN GO AND FEEL LIKE A PRINCESS INSTEAD OF A PIECE OF MEAT like I did at your store the ONE time I was there.

I hope you find this letter interesting and intriguing, and I would hope that you give me a call to discuss further. I further hope that I have shocked you as well. If I havent, it tells me that you are used to these types of complaints. So how will you go about making Davids Bridal a better place to shop for everyone? There is obviously a glitch in your system. Its either your employees not properly knowing how to handle a customer, Your employees not knowing their business, or its simply that you dont care about your customers.

I dont want anything free! However, I would love a simple apology by phone from someone who cares.

To whom it may concern--think twice before using DB part 3

by Ms. T.

Around June 15, I called to find out if my dress arrived. I was told by the receptionist that it had and that they had left me several messages. Because I knew I had not received a single message, I asked at which number they left messagesand she said, Oh, theres no number in your profile so I guess they couldnt have called you. But, your dress is herewhen do you want to come pick it up? I was surprised by her question. Pick up my dress? First, dont I need to schedule an appointment to try it on for alterations to see what it needs? It will need a bustle at the very least, so wouldnt that be the question to askshall I transfer you to alterations to make an appointmentrather than come pick up your dress?

When I finally had my alterations appointment, I came into the store and the receptionist asked what I needed. I told her I was there for an alterations appointment and she sent me back behind the curtain. When a seamstress was finally available, I gave her my name and she went to get the dressonly she didnt have the dress. Apparently it was still in receiving because receiving and alterations do not communicate with each other. I was told by a sales person to go to the front desk and get my dress and bring it back to alterations. I was floored. I needed to carry my dress from receiving to alterations? Really? Why wasnt I told that I was expected to pick up the dress when it came in? I was given the impression that the $50 bag was to keep it especially clean and safe in storage. Isnt holding the dress part of your customer service? I asked why my dress wasnt already in alterations and the sales person told me that they call people to pick up their dresses because they dont have storage space for them. Again, really? A bridal store that doesnt expect to store dresses for brides? You really expect people to take their dresses out months before their weddings? How are they pressed? They have to bring them back? I was honestly shocked at that answer. In the end, the sales person brought my dress to alterations so I could change into my undergarments for the fitting.

Thankfully, the seamstress was lovely and found a simple and inexpensive solution to the gapping front of the dress issue which I appreciated. She told me to come back on August 21 for a second fitting and the dress would be done. I set an appointment and planned to come back that dayknowing that the expectation would be for me to leave with the dress. I knew then and there that I would not bring my dress out of the store before I was readywhich would be August 28.

The following Thursday afternoon, because I was scheduled to pick up the dress the next morning, I called to confirm that the dress was being re-pressed and that it hadnt been done days earlier and left to hang and wrinkle in the bag. After another frustrating conversation with someone who did not speak English, someone else came to the phone and I was told it would be re-steamed that afternoon. I arrived the next morning at 10 a.m. and no one was in alterations to retrieve the dress so the store manager had to do it. She finally found the dress and when she unzipped it, it looked as though it had not been steamed at all. The bottom was wrinkled and creased. She turned on the steamer and began steaming it when someone else came in and took over. Although I saw them steaming it, it seemed to have little effect and I was told it was because the material was so heavy and that once I hung it up so it wasnt creased, it would be fine.

I decided to wait until the next morning to see what happened and if the wrinkles fell out like the store suggested. They did not and I wound up pressing the dress by sitting on the floor with the dress train between a set of sheets so I didnt discolor the fabric. Low and behold, the iron removed the wrinkles and creases and the bottom the dress finally was flat and looked as I expected. The dress hung there until Sunday afternoon and it was finebut only because I pressed it. The pressing even held as I moved the dress from the hotel to the venue for my wedding.

In retrospect, I am sorry I didnt go with one of the higher priced dresses in one of the better full-service bridal salons in the area. I would suggest that DB stop billing yourselves as a moderate bridal salon and tell people what you really area low budget, less than attentive dress store. It is not the magical experience most brides are looking for when they step into your over crowded fitting room area. I was truly disappointed by the experience of purchasing my dress from you. Fortunately, the rest of my wedding day was flawless and was the start to a beautiful marriage.

To whom it may concern--think twice before using DB part 2

by Mrs. R.

Upon arriving, I gave the receptionist my name and she asked if I had been there before. I was under the impression that they would have the list that the first sales person made of the dresses that I liked in the computer system. They did not as I found out when we were assigned a sales person. We basically started from scratchbut this time including a new dress that was on a mannequin. Fortunately, the friend I brought with me worked in a bridal salon during high school and college so she was able to assist me in getting in and out of the samples when our sales person disappeared. We spent about an hour trying on dresses and different shoes. The sales woman was rather scarce until our appointment time was coming to a close and she heard us say that we thought wed made a decision. We didbut I was not going to purchase the dress without showing it first to my mother who was not with us. Knowing there was an issue with making an appointment with a specific sales person, I asked if she worked the next day and if we came in right when they opened if she would at least be the one to get credit for the sale. That was the arrangement we made.

The next morning, my mother met me at the store and I tried on the sample dress for her. It was obvious that I was not booked into an appointment slot because the time was not taken to even zip the dress all the way. Regardless, I had decided this was the dress I would purchase as although not perfect, it would do nicely. I found the ringing of the bell silly and corny and did not appreciate my spending of money pointed out to everyone else in the store at the time. I went back to the fitting room and changed and met the sales woman at the desk to do the paperwork to order the dress as I did not want the sample.

I decided to apply for the instant credit account and once that was approved, we finished the order. Although I hadnt planned to purchase them from DB, the sales person never asked if I wanted to purchase shoes, a slip, headpiece, or veil. The only up-sell she offered was to pre-purchase the cleaning/preservation box and the bag to store the dress once it arrived. Had I needed any of those other items, I would have appreciated having them on the zero interest credit card. I gave the sales person all of my contact information for both the order and the credit card and was told that the dress should arrive the first week of June. That was the last contact I had with DB until I called the store the middle of June to find out if my dress ever arrived!

To whom it may concern--think twice before using DB part 1

by Rachel R.

September 9, 2009

To whom it may concern:

Now that I have returned from my honeymoon, I am sending you some feedback about the Davids Bridal Schaumburg, IL location. Although I am unsure if anyone will respond to or pay attention to the feedback, I know I will feel better having expressed my feelings. Unfortunately, I read the negative posts about both this particular store and the company in general too late to save my wedding dress shopping experience.

As an older, plus-size bride, my options to actually try on wedding dresses are somewhat limited. Because I had had a relatively pleasant experience at Davids Bridal location in Sunrise, Florida when my sister asked me to be her maid-of-honor, I thought I would try DB for my wedding dress when I was engaged. Although I shopped other stores, DB had the largest selection of dresses I could try on, so I wound up settling for a dress from your storebut the experience was truly less than pleasant after my first appointment. I had a specific budget in mind which I did not think was unreasonable. Although my dress was important, it was not going to be the most expensive part of my wedding day. My fianc and I had already decided that although it is important, the beautiful rings we wear and the photographs we keep were far more important to us than a dress I was going to wear once for a few hours. I was looking for something comfortable, reasonably priced, and flattering.

For my first appointment, my sales consultant, Michael, was actually rather sweet and patient and we tried on every dress from a size 18 on upeven finding several that fit perfectly. I explained to him that this was my first shopping excursion and that I was hoping to narrow down my selection to two to three dresses and then look at a few other stores before making a final decision. Because he was so helpful, I actually excused the crowded noisy fitting room area without a place for a mother or sister to even sitand blamed myself for making a weekend appointmentand the unusually hot temperature in the room that had everyone sweating in the samples. Michael wrote down the three dresses I liked and I told him I would be back in a few weeks if I decided to order one of those dresses. As we were wrapping upand I had one of the three favorites, the manager came over and told me that if I bought that dress today and walked out with it, it would be only $299rather than the $599 or whatever the ticket said. What she failed to notice was that the dress didnt fit all that well, so it would have taken a bit for alterations to make it work so I was comfortable. I did not appreciate the high-pressure sales pitch. I suddenly felt like I was in the back room at Loemanns and the manager was playing lets make a deal. It was not at all what I expected from a bridal salon. Although I also expected that I would only have a finite amount of time, I felt rushed out at the end when I was not going to buy a dress on the spot.

After visiting several other stores, I came to the realization that finding a dress that met my criteria within my reasonable budget would preclude some of the fancier salons in the area. Although I was not overly excited to be returning to DB, I brought a very close friend with me for my second appointment. Interestingly, when I called to make my appointment, I was told that I could not specify a sales consultant, even though Michael had been so helpful. I found that disturbing, but given that I was now approaching the deadline for orderingand that I wasnt willing to come in on a weekend day when he tended to workI had no option other than to make an appointment at a convenient time for me.

Terrible Service..

by Darnell T.

Terrible service my fiance ordered a wedding dress and she took it home, and it was a stain on the train of the dress. She took it back about a week or so later, because we had to go out of town and then they tried to clean it they couldn't get the stain out . They said that they will charge for extra cleaning; so I had to call and talk to a manager, before I could say one word, the manager said the dress was checked before we left the store and it was our fault. I said good afternoon it's not about blame the dress was stained and it was just over looked probably then I got put on hold ... Then she came back and I said that thwhen I go and get a shirt from wal-mart it is clean when I get it all I expect is that the dress be cleaned So no I am put on a list for the manager to call back I get married on 31 Oct 2009 and the David Bridal that I am referring to is the Raleigh NC office... Terrible Customer Service I will never do business with them again, I was gonna get my Tux through them but I decided to go local it cost more but so be it ..

Exceptionally bad service every step of the way!

by Yvonne S.

I am from VT but when I was visiting my mom in VA on vacation, I decided to check out dresses there so she could be a part of my special day. It wasn't a very personal experience at all. It felt very rushed. I did let them know that I was from VT and if I decided to go with them, that I would purchase my dress closer to home. Within a month, I had several consultants calling me FROM VIRGINIA to set up an appointment for fittings, etc. I actually had to call corporate to get myself off of the VA mailing list. Then, the dress I wanted was available only online. It was on sale, so I purchased it. It came to me in horrible shape, and less quality than I remembered - not at all what I wanted. I am in process of trying to return it. Their contact info is conveniently not on their website. I had to look up corporate, who as I write this has put me on hold 3 times and disconnected once. I'm calling because my USPS tracking number says they have not picked my package up at the PO yet - that was 6 days ago! AWESOME! Needless to say, I am buying my dress and my wedding parties at local, more personalized boutique. Customer Service is a dying art, apparently!

Rude, Rude Customer Service

by Jackquelyn B.

I went into your store in Pensacola , Florida on a Saturday afternoon around 5:30 pm with my future daughter in law to look at and try on a few wedding dresses for her up coming wedding. We were told that they were about to close and that she could get us a catalog to look at. We did not want to look at a catalog, we wanted to look at and possibly try on dresses. My future daughter in laws godmother from another state, who is paying for the dress was also with us. We were all disappointed. The god mother who is a wedding coordinator now has a bad taste for David's bridal. Now I know from looking at your reviews that what people think of your business obviously don't matter but know that WORD of MOUTH is your best advertisement. I have never seen so many NEGATIVE reviews on any company.

BEST SERVICE EVER

by LANA B.

BEST SERVICE EVER FROM DAVID'S IN ORANGE, CA
My daughter is getting married and we have had the BEST experience at the David's Bridal, Town and Country Shopping Center in Orange, CA. KATHY CORTEZ and her staff provide outstanding customer service. They actually care about the bride; from the selection to the fitting. The dress is beautiful and reasonably priced and I have been praising David's Bridal to everyone.

. Thank you for having such great employees for such a special occasion as a wedding. People are stressed enough and it just makes it sooooo much better when you can rely on professional, experienced and caring people like Kathy.

Just one little bit more: we did NOT get the same wonderful service at the David's Bridal in Costa Mesa

I wouldn't give the alterations one star

by kristine l.

I bought this dress at David's Bridal located on 40 Cumberland Ave, N . Attleboro MA 02760. I loved the dress and paid along with items needed to wear and preserve the dress, and one brides made dress for $926.20 Also I had two of my bridesmaids purchase dresses through this Davids at around $130.00 each. However the problem comes in where my dress needed alterations. The dress was beautiful but needed to be hemmed and tightened in the bust. I drop the dress off. They measured and pinned. I was told I could go back in 2 weeks to pick up the dress. These alterations were another $324.00. When I bought this dress they did not have a David's in VT so I decided to use the one close to my moms house in MA. When I returned to pick up my dress I drove round trip over 600 miles on the date agreed. Before I put the dress on you could see where the hem was uneven. The bottom color was thicker in some places and thinner in others. I was told this was because they did not steam the dress. Also on the trim they had lost some of the beading, they said this was also because it had not been steamed . The same answer for why there were stings hanging where they had hemmed and snipped. Her exact words were "he did everything yesterday, but did not steam the dress." Tell me are my beads going to magically appear in the steam? So we left the dress there for another week so that they could fix the problems. Let me remind you I drove over 300 miles to pick it up and now had to drive another 300 home in the same day. For some reason you can only pick up the dresses on Wednesdays or Fridays. Since I could not take more time off of work to go back to MA. My mom and my sister went today to pick up the dress. Still the beading was missing. They told the Alterations people about the problems again, There response was "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" This coming from the manager of alterations. Who brought the store manager into the problem Both of these managers didn't want anything to do with it and started telling my mom that I was not told I could pick it up when I went. I don't understand why they have to lie. A simple I'm sorry for our errors and the added stress to your wedding planning would have suited me. Instead they hurried to fix the beading after they told my mom and sister that was the way the dress was. It's odd there were only two random spots with missing bead but had string hanging. Once that was done they tried to hurry my mother and sister out of the store. Needless to say they banned my Mother and My sister from returning. I do not recommend the David's Bridal In N. Attleboro MA. 40 Cumberlain Ave. They are rude, lazy and liars. On top of that there bathroom is nasty. Thank You for you time and reading my blog.
Sincerely,
An Unhappy Customer in N. Attleboro, MA

Stay Away From Davids Bridal

by Priscilla N.

Davids Bridal RUN
Their alterations department is horrible. My daughter was told her wedding dress was ready to be picked up, she took the day off from work and drove 3.5 hours to pick it up.Beading was missing, strings were hanging all over it, there were runs in the material and the hem was uneven. They told us it was because it was unpressed. They told us they had just finished it (they had it since June.) We ended up leaving it only to go back last night to find beading was still missing and it still had strings. I will never recommend them to anyone. The $99. dress sale is a joke I ended up paying over 700. and another 324. for alterations. My advise stay away from Davids Bridal.

I was told my bridesmaids dresses came in my color...so I ordered and paid for a private company to make the same dress for my junior bridesmaid since DB did not make the dress in childrens...when i called to order for all 9 girls I was told the dress didnt come in the color and that I was mistaken!!!! The sales girl wrote the wrong color and they blamed me! Now I'm out a fortune and have a dress that matches nothing! USELESS!!!! The response from the manager was "theres nothing I can do, just pick another dress." Nice service huh? PS-my wedding's only a few mths away. I HATE Davids Bridal...they are the worst!!!!!

Rude all the way around!!!

by carrie m.

Well I am not surprised to read all these nasty reviews. Our experience was the same we purchased a dress that fit almost perfect but needed a little pleet or something in the bust area..........well they took off almost 6inches and told us to pull it together and squeeze here in it! Now that sounds fun, and should be real comfortable. I can't believe a large corporation is ran so poorly!!! And so many people are still buying there, even while we were at the store the store manager was on the phone being rude to another customer. I wish I would have found this before we purchased from them.

David's Bridal Rude and Dishonest!

by p s.

Now that the dresses are in our hands (6 months ahead of time because we were told by the sales associate we needed to order them in June for a January wedding), I feel it necessary to let everyone know how rude and dishonest (just a few of the adjectives we'd like to use) the people at David's Bridal in Westland, MI and the Corporate Office are. It is no easy feat to get a bridal party of 8 and the bride to find their dresses at one store, but after much searching we found a dress that suited all of the attendees. Because the bride was told she'd get a discount she chose her dress from David's Bridal too. When the attendants tried the dress on all the associates in the store commented on how much they liked the dress and that it had just come in the day before. After placing the order the bride received a call that evening telling her the dress had been discontinued and the girls would have to pick another dress! After visits to the store, calls to the manager, and a call to the corporate office, the woman at the corporate office said they could get the dresses from different stores but they had to be ordered and paid for within the week. Once again, not an easy feat with 8 attendants but we took care of it. Then we were told we wouldn't get the $20 refund because the bride hadn't ordered her dress yet. So here it is, 6 months before the wedding and we have 8 bridesmaid dresses hanging in the closet and a bridal gown that came in no more than a cleaners bag (had to buy a storage bag for that too). Also, all the deals the bride was told she'd be getting are only available if you go through David's Bridal - not going to happen. I will never shop there again nor will I recommend David's Bridal to anyone.

Don't ever shop at David's Bridal!!!! EVER!!!!!

by Danielle M.

I had the most horrible experience NEVER, EVER use them for anything. Where do I start? I went in to pick the dresses, with absolutely NO help from the sales people (even though I had an appointment). I picked one dress for my MOH and another for the other girls. I was assured several times that the MOH would be the only one to get the different dress. Not only did they tell everyone they had a choice between the two, but they ordered wrong dresses (not even the two dresses I picked) but wrong colors, sizes, you name it, it was WRONG!!!!
I went in with my MOH to order her dress. I had to find the dress off the rack and we sized it ourselves cause no one could be bothered to help us. The sales girl ordered a completely different dress in the wrong color. When I called to correct the order, the manager was VERY rude! Then my cousin, who is pregnant, had been sized before she got too big. She was put on bedrest so my aunt went to order her dress. The people at the counter told her to find her own dresses off the rack and gave her the style numbers, my aunt is in her mid 70's!!!! They ordered wrong dress (the dress for my MOH), and lost her measurements , so the "guessed". Every bridesmaid had the wrong order or dress or color, so I called and talked to a manager. Even the manager has been very rude and offered NOTHING to compensate for their mistakes. I hate this store and will NEVER give them my money again! Thank god I didn't get my wedding dress there!!!!

RUDE IGNORANT PEOPLE!!!

by Kimberly F.

I recently got engaged to my fianc. Our wedding is not for a year.I did this to give me plenty of time to plan being it is at the beach not my home.I decided to start looking at dresses so I dont feel rushed at the last minute and can take my time till I find something I like. I went to Davids Bridal, and did not have an appointment. Well the lady said it was okay and I just had to wait 20 minutes. She then told me to look at the dresses and write down the numbers on them. So I did an hour and half later and two people they took ahead of me I got to get a dressing room. Mind you your not aloud back there with out a working helping you with one dress at a time. They made me share her with another customerFine you gotta do what you gotta do I understand. But She only let us try one 3 dresses the two hours me and the lady were in the dressing roomShe was rude and continued to try to tell ME what she thought I needed to try on. SHE IS NOT THE BRIDE HERE! Next she sat down and said im gonna try to be as nice as possible you need to pick a style before you try on a dress. Im not going to keep bringing you dresses for nothing. OKAY WRONG THING TO SAY TO ME! Ummm I have a year and isnt that the point of trying on a dress,,,, im not supposed to know after three dresses witch. So I handed her the dress and asked for the managershe came back and started to tell me that the dress numbers I wrote down were only online not in the storeummmm I wrote down those numbers the hour and half I was waiting for a dressing room in the store..my point they were rude, lazy and dont like to work with you they want to make you and expect you to know what dress you want after trying on 3. They are rude and inconsiderate.i could add much more but not worth my time.just take my advise STAY AWAY!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! TERRIBLE MANAGERS!

by jane k.

STAY AWAY FROM DAVID'S BRIDAL!
THESE PEOPLE ARE RUDE AND VERY INCONSIDERATE. I DONT KNOW HOW THEY SLEEP AT NIGHT...THE WAY THEY TREAT THE CUSTOMER IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!
My daughter and her fiance cancelled their upcoming wedding of August 8, 2009. Two of the bridesmaids live overseas and so i ordered the bridesmaids shoes for them...as David's Bridal does not ship internationally.

I have these 2 pairs of shoes that NEED to be returned but I was just informed by a Manager, Colleen, that i cannot return them because 14 days had lapesed since these shoes were shipped.!!!
These girls had not even seen these shoes as they were not scheduled to arrive in the USA till August 1.
The manager was extremely rude and kept repeating the same senario...."Our return policy states" bla.. bla... bla..........I insisted on speaking with her Manager but got no where.
I will never recommend DAVID'S BRIDAL TO ANYONE. I wish I had read some of these reviews first.
No understanding on their staff part.
these shoes are still wrapped in the box !
What a scam this store operates!!!!!
they will not give me a refund!!
THE HEAD MANAGER WAS SUPPOSED TO CALL ME BACK WITHIN 24 HRS.....SHE NEVER RETURNED MY CALL AND THE NUMBER THAT COLLEEN GAVE ME TO CALL HER BACK IN CASE THE HEAD MANAGER DID NOT CALL ME, WAS A WRONG NUMBER!!!!!
AGAIN STAY AWAY . THE BETTER BUSINESS BUERAU SHOULD CLOSE THEM DOWN.

Davids Bridal Corporate Office is a horrible experience

by Snoi M.

My fiance and I recently found out that he will be deploying to Iraq this January for the 5th time. We made the decision to alter our wedding plans and get married this September. We drove over 100 miles to the David's Bridal in Syracuse to look at dresses. We don't have a lot of money to spend on our wedding because of its rushed nature, so I decided to go with a non traditional dress that I will be able to wear to the Military balls also. I had a dress in mind, but when we got to the store it took us 15 minutes to finally get some one help us. I was told that because my wedding was so soon I would have to buy of the rack. They did not have the dress I wanted in the color I wanted or my size. The sales associate told us she would be back and never returned. We wandered around the store collecting dresses to try on. We came up with a selection and then had to hunt down an associate to let me into a dressing room. This associate left me to try these dresses on by myself. I had to come out of the dressing room half dressed to find my fiance to zip up the back of my dress!!! I eventually found the perfect dress, but it was in no way due to the sales associates! I will never shop at David's Bridal again!

A Very Bad Experience
By: Jan R.
David's Bridal needs to drastically improve their customer service if they want to stay in business. You can only imagine how excited I was when my future daughter-in-law was so kind to invite me along for the most special event of finding her wedding dress! The service was poor right from the start, but she found the dress of her dreams! Her dream turned into a nightmare 1 week ago when her dress was so poorly altered that her mom couldn't even zip it up. The lace on the hem was shorter than the underskirt and it just broke my heart that this sweet young lady had to go through this. To top it off the manager suggested that possibly she had gained weight since her fitting. What an insult! They told us they could fix the dress and it would be ready in a week. Fortunately, we asked them to hold another dress in her size just in case the dress could not be repaired. Now 3 weeks to wedding day, they did not fix the dress correctly and the manager did not even have the courtesy to check the dress over. They did exchange the dress and suggested we take it elsewhere to have it altered since we did not have confidence in them. How could you have confidence in an alteration department that charges an outrageous amount and destroys the dress! This was my first and will be my last shopping experience with David's Bridal. I would never recommend your store. Also, I can't believe all the reviews I've read on this site. They are just horrible. Your company really needs to respond to your customers and provide the special service expected from a bridal shop.

Alterations ruined my daughter's dress 3 weeks before wedding!!!!!

by Sue R.

Alterations ruined my daughter's dress 3 weeks before wedding!!!!!
David's Bridal in Dublin (Columbus) Ohio has been a problem with the whole experience of getting my daughter's dress to having it altered. First, they lost her in the computer and then when we went back to look for bridesmaids dresses the sales assoc. tried to change my daughter's mind for the colors of the wedding because they did not have the colors. You don't do that!!!! Well, alteration time was last week and the dress was pinned wonderfully on her and we went back and it was taken 1 - 1 1/2 sizes to small. They tried to tell us she gained weight. What an insult. A size 4! We told them to ck the measurements and they were the same. They hemmed the lace on the hem shorter then the underskirt. We were frustrated. They guaranteed that the dress would be okay. We found another dress(the same size) and had them hold it in-case it wasn't okay. We went back yesterday and the dress was still too tight and the lace under the arm was missing, spots on the dress, silk was fuzzy..what a mess. The alteration manager said that it was too messed up and told us they would give us the $350 back for alterations and we could take the new dress somewhere else. They really did not do anything for the problem they caused. The manager (Beth) of the store never took time to come to help us yesterday when we asked to see the manager. She sent word back to the alterations lady what to do. I felt upset. Got to the cash register and she (Beth) finally took over and refunded $ back for alteration and I noticed it was not the correct amount. It took her 45 mins to try to refund the tax. It finally got refunded 24 hrs. later because of their system error. What a mess. 3 weeks before wedding. I have 2 more daughter's and I have many friend's in Dublin, Ohio and elsewhere with daughter's and my daughter's have many friend's getting ready to get married. David's will not be recommended to any of them! Word of mouth is huge. If they can not do the alterations right, they should not be in the business. This time in a girl's life is a very special time and these things should NOT have to happen. I hope that corporate will see this and really to this to heart. Something needs to be done! The Dublin store is very poorly managed. I went in today to check on the amount still owed. The manager was very rude and commented that the dress was done very well. She never saw it yesterday. How would she know? I asked her if she would wear a dress like that for her wedding. NO COMMENT!!! That was my answer that she knew it was not done right! After spending about $1300 with David's Bridal we are done with them and I am very sad that this had to be such a bad experience for my daughter when it should have been an exciting and fun experience. Being involved in the schools and community leadership groups the word will do more damage to David's Bridal then anything else. Manager's are there to serve the customer. When the manager blames the size being to small on a bride gaining weight that is sad. You never say that to a bride even if it were true. You do not treat a customer with the attitude that we got. I really hope something is done because the business will suffer. This time in a girl's life is a very special time and these things should NOT have to happen. I hope that corporate will see this and really take this to heart.

Worst customer service ever!!!

by Veronica O.

I purchased my Bridal gown at the Mission Valley,Ca store because the prices were an ok deal compared to other stores in the area. I have had bad customer service since the minute I walked in the store. Everyone is super rude and not nice at all. Even the manager has an attitude with the customers. They sold me the gown off of the rack! The whole time that I was trying on dresses the sales person kept saying we need to order now because it takes months to get your dress in. Come to find out they are a stock store which means if they have th dress in your size on the rack they will sell you that one!! I could not believe my ears! I am very upset because I cannot ask for refund. I hate their policies. I hate that this is the only store that is corporate America where I can have all of my bridesmaids get their dresses throughout California in the same color and fabric. If there was competition with good customer service this place would go out of business! I would not recommend them to anyone. Bad customer service. All they need to do is smile and be polite. After all you would not have a job if it wasn't for me. I wish someone would come out with something similar to this store but with a different view towards customer service.

HORRIBLE

by jess p.

I must agree RUN RUN RUN. They have ruined my wedding. One of bridesmaid dresses was the wrong size and they acted like it was our fault. And then after being told that my other pregnant bridesmaid could wait until she had the baby to buy her dress we are told that it was discontinued a week after she was told that and that we cannot get the dress, period. They were unhelpful and rude in handling the situation.

BAD BUSINESS!

by D W.

Wow! I wish I had read these reviews before we decided to do business with David's Bridal. All I can say is "ditto" on the bad service, rude attitudes, over priced gowns and accessories. Won't go into detail about our horrible experiences, but if you are a bride looking to do business with David's Bridal . . . RUN, RUN, RUN the other way. There are many other places to find your gown if you take the time to look. If you are looking for an off the rack gown, fine, but if it is service and quality you want, David's Bridal is not the place for you.

Consumer beware of cheap service

by Real M.

I formally worked for DB. I am glad I resigned. Now I am at a small shop here in town and good companies do not take advantage of good people.Being told to lie to customers is an insult to intelligent people. The David's way does not work.Forcing people who want a layaway to apply for a credit card. Not educating the consumer. Let alone management bringing in their home problems to the work front. How they treat customers are unfair. Consultants that walk away to tend to others...Yes they try to service all that enter the store but it leaves the brides mistuned. There are a few that will go beyond to help their brides but the others could care less. When you have an employee that contacts Chid services because a mother forgets t bring a diaper...You know then they re not focused on the store at all. Or the other that talks about employees to others about their problems. Most CSR's are not trained effectively...One resigned because of a computer error and told that it was grounds for job termination...He was fantastic and the customers loved him. I can only imagine what the customers are going to do if they want service from him. I would stick to the small shoppes that care and work with the bride. But DB is not a "way to go"... and besides the 99 dollar dress rack is limited they force you to go another route to spend more...Seen it happen too many times. Very few happy customers but they are sharks and liars. But in the long run it will catch up to them...Too many chiefs and not enough Indians... But in the long run the choice is yours...make it the right one.

SO MUCH ANXIETY!!!

by Trish C.

I am writing to express my extreme displeasure with Davids Bridal. On February 17, my daughter chose her wedding gown from Davids Bridal in Warwick, RI. Our assistant for that day was constantly leaving us to service other customers, and did not give us her full attention. Our experience with alterations staff in Warwick was horrible. They were late, rude, and did not even fit the dress. At this time there was a red ink like mark on the dress. Because of this poor service, my daughter removed her dress from the store.
I then called Davids Bridal in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. We brought the dress to this store, where the alterations woman stated that she would remove the stain and attach the sash. When we returned two visits later, we waited 40 minutes after our appointment time. There were two new stains on the dress. A dark dirt smudge right on the bodice, very visible and quite large, and another white pasty stain right in the middle of the front of the dress, again quite large. The latter only noticed by us and brought to her attention. We were to take the dress home on this day. The alterations person did not even expect that my daughter would try the dress on , but when she did the dress did require more alterations in terms of taking in the top. When I asked what could be done if they were unable to remove the stain, the woman was very nonchalant and basically said oh well, if it was still there, too bad.
Well, I am happy to say that when we picked up the dress on May 27, after spending a very anxious two weeks, the dress was perfect, stains gone and fit perfectly fitted and pressed.
I plan on complaining loud and long about Davids Bridal and this whole horrible experience. Rude and late staff, wrong orders and 3 stains. I will tell everyone I know not to use Davids Bridal. Although, everything worked out in the end , the whole experience was laden with anxiety and fraught with problems.

I worked @ davids' in nashua, NH, it is one of the most corrupt places.

by Joan K.

I got fired for writing a letter to the Human Resource Dept.on behalf of all the seamstresses, regarding abuse in the alterations dept. by Irine Mischko. The grounds of separation was 3 bad hems in a 3 season period. But, it was odd that action was taken right after the letter fell into the hands of management. The situation is now in the hands of the federal and state dept of labor. It is a shame that the people in the highest positions @ Davids allow corruption to run rampant. Jodi Godell the store manager should be especially ashamed of her lack of action. It will ultimately cost her and the district manager Toni their jobs.

by Nicole U.

David's bridal in Peoria IL ordered the wrong size. When I went to pick it up on 6/5/09 I was unable to zip up the size 16. A 16W was suppose to be ordered and wasn't. Come to find out the dress is now discontinued and it's literally 4 months to my wedding date. The staff was rude and inconsiderate to my maid of honor and was more worried about me making a fuss with other customers in the store...which I did not do. They were not helpful in finding a new dress and also did not care about my opinions of the other dresses. They just wanted to find me something and get me out of the store. They are going to attempt to try to take this dress out and rebead. If this does not work I have exactly 3 months to order a new dress and have it altered. When asked about getting my money back I was told it would have to go through Corp...them knowing I do not have time to do that. Very disappointed. I'm spreading the word everywhere I can.

"On Sale" dress

by lynda s.

The day started out great at the Greenville, SC store. After deciding on the dress, the sales rep "supposedly" checked the computer to see if this dress was available in a smaller size. The store had a 4, she needed a 2. We were told that this dress was sold out in a size 2. I checked the on-line store when we returned home, and much to my surprise - the size 2 is available. Fortunately, we have a seamstress in the family, but that's not the point. Did the sales rep actually check on another size, or does DB have two different warehouses? One for the stores and one for on-line. Needless to say, I will be be calling corporate office Monday morning.!

terrible experience!

by shayna p.

The customer service there is horrible, our consultant that helped me with wedding dresses the first time i was there was very nice, but when i went to pick up my dress a month or so later, they were supposed to press and clean the dress..or from what they had told me, my "consultant" was supposed to do that, so when we got there to pick it up, the manager came out and had said "well your consultant no longer works here.." and long story short in other words "oops, we forgot to clean your dress, and since your consultant was supposed to handle it and got fired, F U, it didnt get done" well my mom gave them hell and the manager wouldnt even offer a discount or anything for the inconvienence..(we live quite a ways away from DB in michigan) so she told us she'd get it done and told us to come back in 45 minutes..well we came back after having some lunch, and she brought out the dress..STILL had wrinkles ALL over it, some makeup marks, AND water marks because she had IRONED it! i had paid $600 for that dress...well needless to say they never did a thing about it and didnt even apologize for it..and to top it off, once i tried it on, she was pressuring me into buying a $100 veil and some shoes acting like nothing had happened..i told her "i will not spend another penny here, not after this incident" DO NOT go there! all they care about is getting your money..you'd think a big company like this would want their customers to return and have positive things to say about them, but NOT THIS PLACE. i hate to even give them one star..thats too good for them..i have 8 bridesmaids, and they will NOT purchase their dresses there.

Never again - Sunset Hills MO

by Stephanie B.

David's bridal ordered one of the bridesmaid dresses in the wrong size, she requested a 12 and they sent a 10, and then they tried to convince me that we had ordered the wrong size. Then they told me that I would have to leave work to return the dress the same day or they couldn't guarantee it would be in on time. I got a very "well, I understand that this is a huge inconvenience to you, but there's nothing I can do about it attitude" from the staff at the Sunset Hills store. I would rather gnaw off my own arm than deal with these people again. Every time I walk out of the store, I think "thank god I never have to go back," and then inevitably I have go to back for some foul up.

Sold my information to a scam company.

by Kristen S.

I planned to get my dress here, but not after your company SOLD MY CONTACT INFORMATION to Century 21st RP Bride. I don't appreciate the calls or the attempted scam. You've made a fool of others, but I won't be the next.

THEY WILL GIVE YOUR STUFF AWAY!!

by Leila A.

I bought a bridesmaid dress and shoes totaling $150 from DB and had to wait until the last minute to get it. They told me that it would be in 2 days before my best friends wedding! In the meantime there was a HUGE FALLING OUT between myself and my "friend" and I didn't end up attending the wedding. DB never called me to let me know my dress was in I just assumed that it did come in but was in no rush to pick it up since I wasn't attending the wedding anymore and was most likely going to get a refund. When I called the following week the Customer Service Rep informed me that they don't do refunds (I hadn't even seen my dress yet and there were no alterations done to it. The only reason it had to be ordered was because they didn't have a size 8 in stock!) so I asked her what I was suppose to do with the dress and she said I could exchange it for a different one. I said OK fine at least I can find something I will actually wear out. I then heard from a mutual friend that the bride had picked up my dress before the wedding (by the time I called my dress wasn't even in the store and she failed to tell me that) so I called back a couple days later and they put me on hold, transferred me to a manager then I was told I would get a call back. 4 days later I called back asking what was going on and demanding answers and they informed me that the bride had in fact picked up the dress and I need to take it up with her! (I don't speak with the "bride" anymore) I asked how I purchased something with my own VISA in my own name and they give it to someone else regardless if it was her wedding or not. Of course she put the dress and shoes on someone else for the wedding and refuses to give me my money for it but the point still remains that that is totally illegal to give someone else my merchandise that I paid for. They told me there is nothing they can do at this point and I need to call the corporate office. I will NEVER refer anyone to this RIPOFF store!! They are THIEVES!!

don't care about their business

by MONICA W.

I am a retail manager, I would be a an unemployed retail manager if I behaved even half as bad as Davids bridal. I just became in engagaed, I went to Davids very excited about this new adventure in my life, but instead ahd about the worst experience ever. So I sat down and wrote a review to the corp. office, needless to say this is my 3rd attemp because every time I try to submit my review I get a error that says my review "has to much nonsense" oh thats a way to get good feedback, refuse the negative. Well word of mouth worrks just as good. I tell everyone I know, even men. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR HARD EARNED MONEY ON DAVIDS BRIDAL. They do not listen, they do not know their product and will not stand by their product.

DAVID'S BRIDAL

by Shona S.

David's Bridal sucks!!! Their sales people suck and they have bad business. I would never recommend anyone going there. They screw you on prices. I bought all of my flower girl's, bridesmaid's, and wedding dress there and then after I spend all that money and my dress is still in layaway, they drop my dress down to $99.00 and I still have to pay another $200 for my dresS.

David's Bridal is TERRIBLE

by Sara M.

The products are crappy, the service is horrible, and do not order anything online or you may never be able to return it!!! No customer service at all, and way over priced for the cheap products. I finally called corporate to be able to return my product, and the lady told me they are just now starting to have a trial of offering customer service. If you buy something from online there is no customer service phone number on the site. The only number online is for local stores, which are not related to the online store. Pay the extra for a nicer bridal salon and save yourself the pre-wedding headache, shipping charges, and cheap crappy products.

Rude people in Rochester, MN

by holly b.

Went to pick up my bridesmaid dress... had to wait for like ten min lady didn't even acknowledge i was there.. finally someone helped me she got my dress and brought it out... It was the Wrong one they had ordered. I told her this and she hung it up and walked away. thinking i was going to be helped i waited by the dress. The girl never came back she was helping someone else. Then I went and asked her for help and she was like i told the manager and she is going to help you. But the manager was working with someone new that came in the store and was then going to proceed to help someone else that just came in when i had been waiting there for about twenty min now. I told her then i was ordered the wrong dress and made it clear that the dress that was ordered was the one that my bride friend picked first and then chose a different one. All the other bridesmaids got the right dress and here i am stuck with a completely different one. Well the manager was rude to me and my mom saying it was my fault i got the wrong dress.. when in fact when i placed the ordered i tried the right dress on and reminded the lady that placed the order not to order the halter dress which my friend started with. so i will not be getting my dress until 29 days before the wedding.. As the manager so rudely informed me and said I had to find my own place for alterations. This was the worst customer service i have ever experience i have ever had. and she was the Manager.. i am never going to shop at Davids Bridal again.

Death of fiance

by Moriah C.

I put my dress on layaway and put $140 down. My fiance was murdered on the 18th of April. When I called to tell the manager she said very rudely that I had to send a death certificate in and then she would have to get it "approved" by corporate to give me my money back. VERY INSENSITIVE!
