We thought this was the perfect vet for a cat lover since they work only on cats. The office is fairly sized to provide as much comfort to the cats as feasible. The folks there are friendly and they at first seem to care about the cats first and foremost, but after a few visits, I came to feel that answers to my questions were not as much based on knowledge as they were on opinion, or perhaps even the desire to come across as knowing more than other vets.
The kicker is quite simply that I asked repeatedly about a constant discharge that was coming out of my kittens' eyes. The Cat Care Center even had him for two days for other surgery and was able to observe him. They told me the discharge was nothing to worry about, and when I pressed them regarding the cause, I was merely told "Some cats just have that." I was finally told that if it really bothered me to use eye drops to flush the fluid out.
I have now learned that an excessive discharge such as this can be a symptom of various infections, and that kittens with it should be seen by a qualified vet immediately. Well, as the Cat Care Center ignored the problem completely which may have caused my cat pain, discomfort and/or possibly eye damage, I would not rate them as qualified vets. I am truly livid that they could have harmed my pet in this way.
