The first time I went to the Cheese Shoppe, I was a bit clueless and confused. After a few visits, I think I've got the hang of things :) So, don't let the super casual atmosphere put you off! Depending on the time of day (and it's only open in the mornings/early afternoon), the guy who owns it (can't remember his name!) is roasting coffee beans, so you serve your own coffee and then just put the $ on the counter (and make your own change if needed). If he has other staff working when you're there, they'll ring you up, help with the cheeses, etc. They sell hot coffee & cheese, but also beans and ground coffee - a gazillion flavors and blends! Sometimes you might end up grinding and/or bagging your own beans, but it all works out in the end. They have a nice selection of imported chocolates and little goodies (lemon curd, mozart chocolates, that type of thing) - great for gift baskets or a little treat! Definitely check it out!
