Went to the Plymouth for dinner and some drinks before venturing out for the evening on Saturday. We had a group of about 8 and were seated promptly in the back room. Something about the rustic atmosphere at the Plymouth is very comfortable. No matter what is going on around you it gives off a good energy.

The food is mediocre, but that's to be expected. Don't get me wrong, it's not horrible, just nothing to really elaborate on. The prices for the food are extremely low, maybe they should increase the price by a couple dollars per dish and they could get some better quality food in here. Either way, it is what it is..and what it is primarily is a drinking establishment and social gathering place.

I agree with some of the other posts, as this is a perfect spot to meet new and old friends and the back room would be perfect to watch games in the fall.

Great place to meet up with friends. Good place to hang out before a game or an event that is going on in the downtown.

Pros: prices

.

Located in the heart of Erie's downtown this place offers a nice atmosphere that even families can enjoy during dinner and lunch hours.

My personal favorite is their well known pretzel sandwich. They have a wide variety of choices including an excellent stir fry that you would never expect to be so good from a 'corner bar'.

Service has always been good to acceptable for the most part and the atmosphere is always upbeat. Good food at a decent price.

PROS: good food, centrally located for any downtown activity, nice atmosphere
CONS: service can be a little slow

DON'T EAT HERE IF YOU CAN HELP IT THE SERVICE IS NASTY AND THEY MOVE SLOW. THEY ONLY WORRY ABOUT THEIR TIPS AND CAN'T GET THE ORDERS RIGHT LIKE THEY SLOW OR SOMETHING. THE WHOLE SET-UP OF THE RESTAURANT MAKES NO SENSE IT SEEMS LIKE THE TABLES ARE ALL CRAMPED TOGETHER NOT LEAVING ENOUGH WALKING ROOM YOU HAVE TO SQUEEZE THROUGH THE TABLES. THE WAIT TIME FOR FOOD IS CRAZY WITHOUT EVEN A SLIGHT APOLOGY OR THANK YOU. THE SMOKING SECTION IS CLOSE TO THE NON-SMOKING SECTION SO THEY MINE AS WELL NOT EVEN HAVE A NON-SMOKING SECTION CAUSE THE SMOKE TRAVELS ANYWAYS. THERE'S ALWAYS DEAD ANTS ON THE WINDOW SILLS THAT THEY DON'T BOTHER CLEANING OFF. PARKING IS A NO NO, IT'S HARD TO FIND AND DEPENDING ON THE TIME YOU GO YOU'LL HAVE TO PAY JUST TO PARK FOR BAD SERVICE. THE SEATS ARE UNCOMFORTABLE AND THE TABLES AREN'T CLEANED THAT WELL.....PASS THIS PLACE UP.
