I've used Aramingo Carpet for over 5 years on my various properties and remain very satisfied with their work. Barry is a little rough around the edges at first, but he's actually quite a nice guy. Their prices are great and the carpet quality and padding have not failed us yet. I've had the carpets professionally cleaned over the years and they remain in great condition. So don't let the bear in Barry scare you, Ken and the guys do good work.
It was y first time ever buying carpet for my home, I went to aramingo for it being a local retailer and not call a commercial company, IT WAS HORRIBLE!
This old guy who acts as if he was denied a good sex romp all his life, had been extremely rude, he acted as if I owed him something. I explained what I was looking for and wanted, he was not helpful and acted agitated and told me I was taking up too much of his time. (All he did was stand by the door watching for what, I have no clue).
I asked if there was something wrong and he raised his voive and said "YOU SHOPPING FOR RUGS OR WHAT"?
I said , no. I wanted to shop and spend my money here but not with the attitude and rudeness you have, my money is accepted elsewhere. He told me good see ya.
Then another guy came out from the back and told me its best I take my money elsewhere since its so acceptable.
I will NEVER recommend that carpet place to ANYONE.
Thank you so very much for your reviews. I haven't purchased carpet from Aramingo Carpet but my husband and I were going there this Saturday. I did hesitate because the person I spoke to on the telephone (his name was Barry) was very rude and certainly knew nothing about customer service. Your reviews have jolted me into following my initial instinct and not go hear the place. Again, thanks.
Worst carpet people ever went back on deal would not refund deposit had them install one year later rugs look horrible severely faded falling apart at seams for price paid did not do steps or closets as agreed and carpet should of least lasted 5 years paid 1800 for 3 rooms knowing quality now wouldn't paid nothing cause i wouldn't go there as should you they suck
Guy seemed really nice and wanted to make a deal. The carpet was installed horribly. You can see the seem marks and the carpet pulls really bad. They said they were going to upgrade the padding and obviously they did not. The carpet isn't even a year old. It looks horrible. I am so sad I did this. The seams are so noticeable they cut short on the walls. I called today to get someone to look at it and he wouldn't even let me talk.
HORRIBLE! First the men installing the carpet were miserable and gave me a hard time from the get go, they carpeted my steps, well sort of...I had to have them come back out because they weren't completely covered, and now the carpet is pulling apart and you can see the seems AND the padding underneath did not go as far as the carpet and you can totally see where it ends because of the dip in the carpet. To top it all off the owner was rude and argumentative. DO NOT GO TO ARAMINGO CARPET.
i got horrible carpet, installation and prices the carpet i picked out wasn't the carpet i received it was the same color but a different grade way cheaper, and the paddind literally fell apart my carpet is 3 years ols and looks older than me and i'm 31 they ruined my molding big goughes all over it and every seam is apart it is rough and falling apart when the carpet was put in we were on vacation and my mom let them in our house thankk god is was empty we just bought it and not only did that all go wrong but they didn't carpert my third floor steps that they charged me for or my hallway or my closets they charged me 2100 to do lr,dr and stairs with the cheapest padding and carpet and no refund or apology do not go there!!
We needed to get our carpet replaced after a flooding event and contacted Aramingo on a friend's recommendation. When the guy came out to measure our place, he did not have any carpet samples and told us that we would need to go to the warehouse itself to get an estimate because we would have to pick out what we wanted from the shelves. We drove out there and as the other reviewers have said, the owner was rather rude and curt. The best part of all? They wanted $6,500 to do 500 square feet! The company we wound up going with was about 1/4 that price, were friendly, prompt, and highly reviewed.
Pros: The company actually exists
Cons: Price, customer service
