Incredibly delicious dark chocolate

WOW! These guys have the BEST dark chocolate anywhere within a 300 mile radius. I especially enjoy the dark chocolate covered peeps they make near Easter.

The chocolate smell when you walk into the store or caf is unbelievable. I highly recommend Romolos for the best chocolate ever!

The ice cream that is sold at Romolo's is the best I have ever had. So creamy and flavorful, the flavor selection is wonderful, does anyone know if they make it on location?

The store screams world class with an atmosphere that invites the discriminating pallette. The family history is evident on the walls, boasting papa Romolo's modest start as a world class chocolatier in a fairly small town. But the taste says it all. Melt in your mouth, rich, creamy chocolates that will keep you coming back for more.

They offer tons of different ways to enjoy your chocolate too! From solid bars to their infamous sponge candy you will never taste a better chocolate. Samples entice you to try their different flavors and gourmet items surround the store to make your experience complete. A "Chocolate Cafe" offers a coffee house atmosphere to sit and relax for an enjoyable cup of cocoa or a milkshake.

Summers are enjoyable on the patio area while winters and falls are welcomed with a warmth that the best chocolate ever can bring. Comfort food never tasted more comforting than this. If you enjoy chocolate.. you will LOVE this place!

The only downfall I can find is that you pay well for quality but it's definitely worth the price. Don't miss their famous sponge candy or melt-a-way fudge that literally melts in your mouth! You can even have it shipped and/or gift wrapped.

You can sign up for the Candy of the Month Club too! Specials each month on one or more item. This is chocolate at it's best!

PROS: world class chocolate, different variations, infamous sponge candy
CONS: slightly pricey but worth the price, they haven't perfected calorie free!

Romolo sells delicious handmade chocolates at their Erie location. Everything from sponge candy to truffles to those much coveted chocolate covered strawberries. They also sell non chocolate candy such as Jordan almonds, mints, etc. You can schedule a group visit to hear the history of Romolo as well as watch their delicious chocolates being made. Romolo's prices aren't the cheapest but it is worth it, especially if you love chocolate.
