This is a nice, clean studio. The owner is very nice as well as those who work in the the office. The studio itself is run very efficently, as well as the recital. The recital is at Swarthmore College and there is a show at Christmas that appears to be a performing group showcase with younger dancers as fill in numbers. The owner is very caring and will do whatever it takes to provide satisfaction to you. However none of this changes the fact that much of the classes are way too big to offer any sort of quality instruction, quite a few of the teachers are just nasty. Many of the teachers have no idea how to talk to children. Some of the teachers can't handle the classes from a behaviour point. We personally need to find a smaller studio with more personal instruction. The tuition is also very high. I have been looking around and just the nature of how classes are scheduled at this studio can cost you money. Compaired to other studios in the area the tuition at paul klocke is between $150 and $250 more per year for the same amount of instruction.

I love Paul Klocke Studio of Dance! The classes are great and their is lots of variety. I am in the performing group at the studio and I love it. I consider myself a dedicated dancer, so I define that as going almost every night and enjoying every moment of it.
The studio is very considerate of all the students. Every year, I receive two phone calls asking me how my classes are going. Ms. Kim always sends me a heart felt postcard (hand written) at the end of each year. Mr. Paul, is very considerate. He will do anything to help me and other students out. I noticed that there was a comment on here saying that Mr. Paul takes weeks to get back to people. That is untrue. He normally gets back to me within a few days. I would also like to remind the person who made the comment pertaining to the amount of time it takes him to get back that he has a family who he also needs to be there for. The world does not revolve around you.
Our performing group teacher is outstanding. She never yells or threatens ANYONE and her goal is to not only make us better dancers but to also build us up as people. She treats us like she would a friend. There have been few times where students have been pulled from dances but that was only because they missed months of classes. The Performing Group Contract clearly states that you must attend 75% of classes to be allowed to do the dances.
We have attended many national competitions and conventions and have done very well. I personally love the conventions. They are taught by well known teachers throughout the dance industry. They teach dancers how to pick up choreography more quickly and introduce them to new styles.
There is no elite group at the studio. Everyone is treated as equals. I was one of the students who attended the benefit at Swarthmore College. This event was well communicated throughout the performing group. The reason why few dances were performed was for two reasons. One, the benefit itself only allowed studios to perform a small number of dances. Two, not everyone could make it and some dances were unable to be changed so that they could accommodate a smaller number of people.
I am extremely happy at Paul Klocke's and would never dream of going to another studio.

This used to be a great dance studio. It's not anymore. There are too many students. The classes are huge, the schedule is built around the teachers, not the students, so if you have a dedicated dancer expect them to go every night because the teachers mostly teach one evening of all the levels of dance (eg modern 1,2,3, and 4 all on one night). It's too much for these kids to go in every night. Also lacking is the studio owner remembering everything and/or calling you back. It sometime takes WEEKS to get a call back. The performing group teacher is supposed to be wonderful, however, she uses a lot of threats to the students such as pulling them from a number, pulling whole numbers and she compares classes constantly to other performing group levels at this studio. As I said, it used to be much smaller and more personal, however, this is no longer the case. We have been there a few years and it's just not the same warm and fuzzy place! Also, there was a post on here stating that the performing group has won many awards....maybe, but they required performing group students to attend two competitions and they are basically unknow, small competitions. They are also required to attend one convention which is a lotta money to spend a weekend in a crowded ballroom for 8 hours of "instruction" from well know dance proffessionals. Apparently, I've recently found out that there is a group of "special/elite" students that they concentrate on and take to higher level competitions, these students get special treatment. The management/owners don't want you to know about it, but it is happening. Last year they took several performing group students to swartmore college for a benifit and they selected the students to attend this, but did not inform the other members of the performing group this was even an option. We are extremly unhappy and are looking for another studio!

Mr. Paul and Ms. Kim run the best studio. Ms. Angela, Ms. Colleen, Ms. MaryBeth, Ms. Melissa, Ms. Angela B. are all fantastic and caring teachers. I love dancing at Paul Klocke and our recitals are the best.

If you are looking for a good studio to sign you child up for dance class, Paul Klocke Dance Studio in Aston is great.

Experienced professionals. Clean, safe and beautiful facility.

My three girls have been dancing at the Paul Klocke Studio for over 10 years. When the oldest was very young we tried two other local studios before we landed at Paul's. There is no question that Paul Klocke Studio of Dance is hands down the best studio in Delaware County or in the entire region for that matter.

One of my daughters is in the Performance Group (for advanced dancers) and when we attend the regional competitions, the Klocke group ALWAYS ranks very high and presents the most professional group of dancers and instructors.

At Paul's it's not only about dancing, It's about the rewarding benefits of dance as an art form and the whole life experience for the child and their family. Paul treats every child as if they were his own and demands the highest level of professionalism from his expert staff.

Last point; the year-end recital and Holiday shows are like Broadway productions! Every detail is prepared and rehearsed and finally delivered in a memorable ??black-tie? presentation that lights up the audience of parents and grandparents every time. I look forward to this weekend in May every year and I still cry every time.

We all love Paul.

This is the best place to send your child to learn how to dance. It's a large studio with many types of class offerings for your child. Unlike many other dance studios this studio caters to eveyone from the child enrolled for fun to the serious dancer. If your daughter or son just wants to take one class for fun or if they want to take 5 this is the place for you. They have a performing group at this studio, however, you won't be told about how great they are doing, because of the studio owners dance philosophy everyone is treated the same. Paul will bend over backwards to make sure that your child is comfortable and enjoying their class. You can even try the classes before you enroll in them. The recital at the end of the year is wonderfully done, and on a very professional level. We have attended other dance schools recitals and they are no where near the level that Paul Klocke's recital is. And as a parent, they offer classes for you as well throughout the year, ballroom, pilates, and other offerings.
