after years of living in west chester, I finally tried crawdaddys.

I ordered an alligator cheese steak. It was absolutely amazing and full of flavor.

Service was great, never had to ask for drink refills.

Awesome Place, Highly

The food is mediocre at best, and prepared to be blown away by the ridiculous prices. Sandwiches and other items don't come with sides, which I found very unusual considering the price. The menu is very small, and our service was terrible (15 minutes before the waitress even noticed we were out of drinks!).
A shame as I love Cajun/creole food, this place was a HUGE disappointment.
I most definitely will not be going back, if I could give Crawdaddy's 0 stars, I would.

This place is mediocre at best. Food used to be really good. We were there recently and the prices are extremely high for the portions and quality of food. The service was ok. Looks like they were hit by bad economic times like everyone else.

food is overpriced for portion size and the service is really bad. We have been here only a few times but each experience is similar.

You want to feel like you are in New Orleans then you need to visit Crawdaddy's. This is an authentic New Orleans Cajun food. They have battered crawfish to Po Boys. They have a good variety of beers on tap. Reasonable priced as well.

I've been to this restaurant three times over 2 years, and it's been consistently excellent. Atmosphere is cozy, service was friendly, even though they were busy every time I've been there (and I've only dined there on typically "non-busy" nights, like Mondays, Tuesdays, etc). The menu prices range from around $7 or $8 for their "Po-Boys", and head up into the teens to very low twenties for the etoufees and heartier stew type dishes. Exceptionally well priced menu for the quality, as well as the quantity of food- I've always left with over half my meal in a doggie bag which then is at least two more meals at home. When you go, you must try the "Cajun Popcorn", which is battered crawfish tails with a creole mustartd sauce- I always take an order of those home with me. Of course, the jambalaya and crawfish bisque are also must-have starters here. They do have standard fare as far as filet mignon and a variety of chicken dishes, but even those have a creole twist to them. Being near Philadelphia, Crawdaddys offers several cheesesteak options, even an alligator cheesesteak (which I've never been brave enough to sample). Bottom line, I cannot reccomend this restaurant enough! If you are looking for authentic, fabulous, and surprisingly inexpensive cajun cookin', look no further than Crawdaddy's!

Pros: Food, prices, extensive menu, even vegetarian options

Cons: parking can be tight during peak hours

The food was very good, actually better than I expected. The service was some of the worst I have ever had. They were friendly, but the time it took for anything was ridiculous. It should not take 20 minutes to take your drink order and get 2 beers. They were out of their homemade bread and charged me for a roll. This was on a Thursday night; I could not even imagine what a Friday night would be like. I will never go back.

Pros: Great Food

Cons: Very Very Poor Service, Some of the worst I've seen around the world.

This is a great place to go whether you love Cajun food or have never tried it before. It is very pricey with most meals costing over $20, but it is a great place for a special occasion or first date. My favorite meal here is the pasta tossed with artichoke hearts in Cajun dressing. The restaurant is very tiny and seating area is kind of crunched, so it is a very intimate setting to say the least. The inside is nicely decorated with a lot of Mardi Gras type decoration and relaxing lighting. The parking is decent. It is located right off a major road but it is kind of easy to miss so look carefully.

wow! gotta love a place that has the greatest food that smacks of new orleans but is in the middle of West Chester?!? everything is good - i have never had a bad meal here. The service is good and ever since they remodeled the restaurant the atmosphere is amazing -- try the back room with the fireplace :) be sure if you go on a friday you make a reservation or if you have a big group-- this is a popular place.

I had just returned from New Orleans and had eaten at a number of restaurants. I tried Crawdaddy's a couple of weeks later and found the food to be authentic! I also love the fact that they do not have a children's menu and state emphatically that parents will control their children. Also, they do accept credit and were applying for their liquor license. Excellent, excellent, excellent!
