If you would've have asked me my opinion of Little Bo-Tique before today, I would've have told anyone that my shopping experience has been generally, quite positive. Their clothes have always been top notch and their sales people courteous. This was, of course, before today.
I can tell you that walking through the door as a buyer, as opposed to a consignor, are remarkably two different things.
I brought in a basket of neatly folded clothing-all popular brands-Gymboree, Baby Gap, Sketchers-30 articles, in all. They took one outfit (a Sketchers dress for $3.00) and told me the rest they couldn't take because it was over three years. While I did have some items that were from a 2006 Gymboree line (which I found out today that if you look inside at the label it will say the year), they are in impeccable condition. It didnt matter that none of the clothing had stains, tears or rips, whatsoever. The Gymboree dress(the 2006 one) that I had brought in, I bought new when my daughter was little and wasn't even walking, let alone running around in! It was worn literally once. It seemed that once the sales woman saw 2006 on the label, she wasnt open to considering the other clothes I had brought in. If she had, she wouldve seen that I also had a Gymboree long-sleeve shirt with matching pants that was from 2007... also, an adorable Gymboree bib from 2008. There were also a couple Baby Gap sweaters, which I don't even think the sales woman even looked at.I also had a pretty halo sleeper that's in wonderful condition, that wasn't considered-amongst other items.
I think the thing that really bothered me even more than this was the treatment my youngest daughter and I received. Indeed, I will agree, it is quite difficult sometimes to bring small children anywhere without there being a toddler meltdown. While trying to pick her up out of a travel swing, my 2 year-old decided to give me a time of things. When I was finally able to hoist my basket of unwanted items onto one hip and my 2 year-old onto the other, I said to my little girl, it's time to go. One of the sales ladies decided it was prudent to add: "yes, mommy said it's time to go". Talk about not feeling welcome, at all. If everyone were treated like that, no one would consign or shop there-inevitably, the store would lose business.Take it from someone that doesn't like to complain or cause problems; people want to shop where they like and feel comfortable-this would include how they are treated, too...beautiful clothes or not.

Having consigned many years as a buyer and consigner, Little Bo-tique is honestly the best children's consignment shop. They only purchase higher quality merchandise in excellent condition and carry all children's and maternity sizes, toys, furniture bedding, and equipment. They pay cash up front for consignments and their prices are more than fair. They have had a change of ownership in the last three years and the store has only gotten better. Their staff is courteous and very helpful. Their website is excellent and they daily post a few photos of some of the consignments. Their merchandise rotates quickly, however if there is an item you are looking for you can call ahead and they will call you when the item comes in. They have great sales too. I really can't say enough about this store. I have friends who travel from VA, NJ and NY to visit this store. Carolyn B.

This is one of the best consignment stores that I have been to. They have so many nice, brand name children's and babies clothes. They also have toys, baby accesories and books. Also, they have a small section of women's maternity clothes. They have dressing room's available if you need them. Their prices are really good. I have bought lots of brand name stuff like Gap, Old Navy and Osh Kosh for my son. All of the clothes there are high quality and you can often find brand new stuff with the tags still attached.
