5 Stars: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all (by Melissa C.)

First of all...Whoever says anything but nice things about Lincoln Bakery has no idea what they are talking about. I used to work there about 10 years ago..was a huge fan then and am even a bigger fan now of EVERYTHING! Everything they make is absolutely wonderful. I have turned on so many people on to them just by having their cakes and other pastries at my family gatherings. I have 2 little boys now and would think nothing else but getting their birthday cakes from them. They have in the past given me nothing but beautiful cakes for my birthdays or baptisms. It may be a little higher priced than another bakery but you get what you pay for. Would you go to a higher priced restaurant and get a big mac..no you'd get a nice juicy steak!!!!

5 Stars: yummy! (by Meg W.)

Grew up in Bethel Park where Bethel Bakery is KING. They have the best best cakes in the world, but found Lincoln Bakery when I moved to the area. Their cake is not as good as Bethel, but their icing is comparable - that delicious buttercream...so good. They do also have an excellent cake decorator who is really an artist. Their cakes are not the standard floral and ugly writing type - the writing is gorgeous, the creativity is amazing. Got a diagonally cut rectangular cake for Father's Day that was decorated like a big chunk of swiss cheese with little grey, googley-eyed mice crawling out from the holes - it was adorable and everyone just loved it. It was presented on a rectangular board which left 1/2 of it exposed, but that is where they put the writing "Happy Father's Day to The Big Cheese". SO creative! I would highly recommend them for cakes. Their selection of cookies, breads, etc is pretty standard, but the cakes are worth the trip.

2 Stars: Window Dressing (by T R.)

The Lincoln Bakery in Bellevue, Pennsylvania has beautiful-looking pasteries but looks can be deceiving. Although the cakes are beautifully decorated to the finest detail, the taste leaves much to be desired. The staff will usually leave a bad taste in your mouth as well. They are often short and rude to customers and they make customers feel like a bother.

5 Stars: Always My Favorite, especially at Christmas (by Angela A.)

I'm not quite sure what was going on when the other reviewers were visiting this bakery, because this place has always provided me with a fantastic pastry able to delight everyone I was willing to share with. I visit Lincoln Bakery at least once per month to pick up cakes for birthdays and holidays and have seen some beautiful creations leaving their doors - most of them still warm, straight out of the oven. Their decorators must be required to take Calligraphy classes before starting, because the script with which they write on the cakes is sure to put any other bakery's messages to shame. At Christmas, they make numerous 3D cakes including the Grinch, Christmas trees, Santa and Mrs. Claus, and wrapped gift boxes - all for under $25! Their carrot cake is "to-die-for", and it has become a "must-have" at every deserving occasion. To spice up the average yellow or marble cake, the staff is always willing to add almond flavoring, and their chocolate icing always seems to hide a layer of butter cream for a wonderful, new taste. The place has been around for many, many years, as my co-worker remembers visiting to pick up cakes when her grandparents were still around. To sum it all up, I am obviously a fan - a big one. I can't wait to see what they come up with for my wedding. I have confidence that it will leave everyone raving, as usual.

5 Stars: Best I have ever had..... (by Kalina K.)

I grew up in this neighborhood and have tried many bakeries since this one and NOTHING compares!! I know live about 45 minutes away and still must drive down to Lincoln bakery for their delicious cakes. I especially must get the nut rolls they have in during Thanksgiving time! My mom and I haven't had Lincoln bakery in a couple years and we decided it was high time to get it again so I am getting us a Mother's Day cake from there! Can't wait to go pick it up, garaunteed I will buy at least one more to bring home and maybe freez it for later... I wish they could open up a place in Butler (they need a good it) so I could get it more often. :)

3 Stars: What's the fuss about? (by Valerie C.)

My new next door neighbor lived in Bellevue all her life and loves this bakery. She raved so much about it that I had to try it for myself. I don't think there's anything in particular to write home about. There is a good selection of cookies and the like, and they taste pretty good. The cakes, though, BLAH! I thought the icing was way too sweet and the cake was so dry that even I (who hates to drink milk) was running to get a tall glass to get rid of the awful taste. I didn't have any problems with the staff, as another reviewer had, but I still would be taking my business somewhere else.

2 Stars: No filling (by denise d.)

Recently bought a wedding cake at Lincoln Bakery, was very disappointed. Do not like icing so ordered the fresh strawberries for filling. There were only two strawberries a layer. Paid per piece for the filling, which I understand is a real bargain since I will be refunded a whopping .20 cents per person for 225 people ($45.00) to ruin the cake with no second chance to fix it. Don't even seem sorry. Would not recommend for your special day.

4 Stars: Wonderful Bakery (by Amy S.)

This bakery has wonderful food at a reasonable price. Stop in and get a loaf of their homemade bread you will love it. Their selection of cakes and cookies is really nice too. The staff is really friendly and they are always willing to slip the little ones a cookie while you look around!
