I found this company recommended online. When Mike came to do the estimate, he was on time, professional, friendly, & gave us the lowest estimate by far, even without requiring an exact number of boxes. It seemed too good to be true but

I read a few of these bad reviews, and just can't understand it. THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST! Mike came out and told me that the move would take 2 trucks, and 7 hours to complete. The move took 2 trucks and 7 hours to complete. Mike told

Before I hired Town and Country Movers I had three other estimates done. I took each person that came through my home on the same EXACT tour showing them everything that needed to be moved. The first quote from Jensen came in around $2500 the second from Hammers came in around the same and also from a company in Havertown also the same ball park. When the co owner came to see my things I gave him the same tour and he spent about a half hour documenting everything...I opened closets and even made him check out the attic. His quote came in around $1200. I obviously went with them as they had the best quote and they had given me a list of glowing reviews from previous customers on how the guys worked so hard, hardly ever took breaks, handled their stuff with care, etc. I was thrilled to be saving so much from the other quotes. I even asked (since I never hired movers before) "What happens when the movers bring your things to the new home" He said they bring each box to the room it belongs and set things up. Great I thought, this was making moving sound easy!! NOT SO FAST!!! On moving day the three men arrived and after taking a tour of the home they were like wait a minute this quote can't be correct??? I reminded them that the owner saw this stuff in person....how could the quote be wrong???? I then overheard the one say to the other "I am just going to take my time" as they are paid by the hour...And that they did...they took a break after every big item they moved and when they couldn't be found they were sitting down in the truck. Before I went to my closing I said please take the rest of the things and the man replied "I will only leave liquids behind as they can not go in the truck." Much to my surprise when I got back to the home there were things left in many of the rooms!!! I had to run around and move everything myself into the garage so the new owners could get in. My husband ended up making a few trips back for all of the items that were not brought in the truck. They claimed there was no room (the other moving company that was bringing in the new owners things assured me there was room). Upon arrival at our new home things began to be brought into our home but it was getting late really late and I knew my estimated price was in jeopardy so I just told the movers to put the boxes in the house....boxes were EVERYWHERE out of place and it was a total maze to even get in. As I was approached with the final payment I as in shock to see the estimate was WAY OFF!!!! I owed $1900 and they didn't even finish the job as per the owner claimed they would. I called the next morning for them to send over some men to finish the job and they claimed they would have to charge me. WHAT??!! They said in their eyes the job was finished. They offered me one hour of payment back for the excessive breaks but that was it. My husband and I had to move the boxes to each room and also move furniture in places that they didn't want to take it (they claimed it wouldn't fit....my husband found a way). Two weeks later and I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. If I would have known the job would have been around $2000 when all was said and done I would have went with the honest moving company that told me the correct price, rather than the company who LIES to get the job and then DOESN"T DELIVER!!! They claim to work with you to achieve total satisfaction please don't believe them I only wish someone would have warned me:(

I have moved over 20 times in my life. This was by far the worst. The company misrepresents itself over an over and will put a lot if hidden charges that you have to catch. Customer service is non existent. Good luck trying to get them to honor their contract, they will call you liars. Stay as far away from them as you can.

The move out of the house was fine, but the move into the new house was terrible. They broke several pieces of furniture and never told us. We found several kitchen boxes completely smashed. They refused to put furniture back together although it was in the contract. They scratched walls and floors. They also recorded 50% more hours worked than actual hours worked. When we called the office, they suggested that we are lying, and did not resolve the situation. Stay away from this company!
