5 Stars: Beautiful Handcrafted Amish Quilts and MORE! (by Cathy F.)

Susie Riehl's Quilts and Crafts is one of the best places if you want to buy handcrafted Amish quilts or crafts. The quilts are BEAUTIFUL and finely crafted!

They have a large selection of hundreds of quilts, quillows(Like a small quilt/throw, that folds and tucks to turn into a beautiful quilted front pillow!)

Plus, wall hangings, towels, rugs, aprons, potholders and so much more!
I have 2 quillows from there, a beautiful 4x4 'Broken Lone Star' wall hanging, that hangs on my living room wall, as I type this, plus an authentic handmade Amish doll from there I bought for my daughter there years ago. I even have smaller wall hangings from there as well on my living room wall.
I always tell anyone going to the area, that if you want beautiful handcrafted and/or quiled items, that Susie Riehl has them! Her shop is located right on her Old Order Amish Farm-and that in itself is a treat to behold!
I came to know Susie through a mutual friend, an Old Order Amish Woman named Esther Smucker, who I became very good friends with after reading abook she wrote and I contacted her via letter. As a matter of fact, the beautiful 4x4 wall hanging- 'Log Cabin' in the dark 'Amish colors', that Esther made FOR ME and gifted TO me, hangs on another wall in my living room! They are my treasures. :)
But I digress-

The prices are from reasonable to expensive, as all who know quilts, know the hours, quality and workmanship that goes into a handcrafted Amish quilt! But, you will still pay less here, than at 'tourist shops' where the prices of authentic quilts are jacked up for the store to get their 'cut.'
Your best bet, is to go to Susie's and buy direct from the sources. You won't be sorry you stopped on by!!

PROS: BEAUTIFUL Handcrafted Amish Quilts & Crafts, reasonable
CONS: None!
