Green Street Consignment Shop

I wanted to get rid of some things that I was not using. I coiuld use some money too. Green Street Consignment Shop sent me a nice check when they sold the items I gave them. It came when I least expected. I was very thankful and pleased.

Green Street consignment, located right in center city, is a great place to trade clothes, find clothes, or get rid of some unwanted gems. My girlfriend and I recieved over $100 from clothes that we never wore! They cerrtainly look for clothes that are "in season" - don't bring sundresses in the winter. Also, they pay much more for name brands, even if they're not as nice...

Greene Street sells mostly clothes, but also has some shoes and handbags. They sell on consignment, and only accept certain in-season items, so the quality is usually pretty high. That comes with some higher prices than your average thrift store. Some things seem pricey to me, for what you get (e.g. Gap stuff), but I have found some great deals on brands that I normally cant afford. My sister had the luck to find a genuine Kate Spade purse for very cheap, so you can get lucky! If you are more of a Salvation Army/Goodwill type of thrifter, this place might seem pricey, but if you want find some clothes at good value, and dont mind it being used, then this is the place. If youre not grossed out, Ive had some pretty good luck with shoes. Note that there are several Greene Streets now, two in Center City (700 South Street, and 1733 Chestnut Street, and one in Bryn Mawr (848 W. Lancaster Ave.). Each is slightly different, depending on who brings their clothes there.

PROS: High quality used clothes
CONS: Not necessarily a bargain

This business - that now has many different branches- is a higher end consignment shop that pays 40% commission when your items are sold. It accepts 10 items at a time and offers nothing less than "almost new" quality. All items are seasonal and immaculate and any items you want to sell must be the same. . They sell everything from business suits to outerwear to shoes and handbags.

PROS: High quality, awesome, mint condition consignment name-brand Items
CONS: Virutally None!
