I started going to Winberie??s last year when I moved to the main line from Pittsburgh.

I??m not sure as to what this Arleen R. is alluding to. I went to Winberie??s for Valentine??s Day Sunday brunch this year with my husband, our fellow friends and their significant others. We chose various dishes. I have to tell you that having been there that very day, none of us experienced these claims of 6 hour long vomiting experiences. We all ate some of everything because it is a brunch buffet. Perhaps your family has a genetic food allergy? In your situation, personally, my first call would have been to our family doctor. I doubt a restaurant would only have regular customers on a very social holiday like Valentine??s and any business wants regular and not so regular customers. Maybe they meant that no one else became ill that same day you did or called about it later.

In my own experience and from what I hear from my friends, co-workers and family, the staff is courteous and for the most part attentive, and there wasn??t a problem with making reservations or calling in to have them save your umbrella that you forgot at one of the booths. The atmosphere can be relaxing or exciting depending on what time of day it is and who you??re with. There is a style to it that you don??t see everywhere anymore. The place is kept pristine somehow (which is important to me at a restaurant especially) and even the restrooms look like they??re cleaned after every use!

My family and I went to Winberie's for Valentine's day yesterday for their brunch. Shortly after leaving, my husband and I felt and upset stomach coming on. After a couple of hours I started to vomit and it lasted for about 6 hours. My son called to say he too was really sick. He missed work today because he still feels ill. I'm still weak after being sick all night too. My husband fortunately escaped the worst part.
I called the restaurant and spoke to the general manager, Matthew. He seemed more concerned whether his "regular
customers" were affected. He insinuated that maybe we got sick before we came to his restuarant. I was insulted by his manner and questions. I will never go to that restaurant again and will tell all my friends, neighbors and relatives to stay away as well.

The ambiance at Cafe Winberie is hard to beat. A very classy restaurant, the menu is boasts an extensive wine list & American-Bistro dishes. The Berry Cobbler is to die for.
