.

I've only been to Quotations for an early lunch. The luncheon salad that was served was very fresh and the portion was generous. The service was a little slow but that may have been because we arrived just as they were opening for the day and perhaps not everyone was there or not quite ready for customers.

Not super impressed. The service was Ok, the food was Ok. The themey-ness is a little hokey. I've been here 3 times, but probably won't return. I feel i've given it enough chances to grow on me, but it hasn't.

Pros: Open late

Cons: Really loud at night, mediocre food

What a wonderful and charming place! A friend and I were in Pennsylvania on business about 5 months ago and saw Quotations on the way to a different restaurant. It looked so cute and inviting we agreed we would go there the next time we were in town. We're so glad we did! Everyone in the place was very nice and attentive. We even asked to talk to the owner, Michael to compliment him on the food and he actually sat down and spent about 15 minutes talking with us about why he went into the restaurant business and where he got the ideas for the menu!

The food is wonderful. ESPECIALLY if you like crab. We started with the stuffed portobello mushroom appetizer which is stuffed with crabmeat and as their menu claims, it IS "one of the best appetizers..." My colleague had their "black and blue" filet which was filet mignon with a blue cheese sauce and I had the crab cakes. The steak was cooked to perfection and was fantastic. The crab cakes were by far the best I've ever tasted. They were about the size of hockey pucks! The crab meat was moist and flaky and simply delicious.

They also have a bar with several TV's playing different sports programs and an extensive beer selection. However, their wine selection is pretty limited; although they did have a couple of red wines for us to chooose from. They also have live entertainment on the weekends. We were going to go someplace else after dinner but decided to move to the bar and listen to the music. It was a Saturday night -we heard two guys playing a lot of Beatles songs and songs from that era - they were VERY good. They didn't look old enough to even know who the Beatles were but you'd never know it when you heard them sing.

Our waitress, Alisa, was great. She was always checking with us to make sure we didn't need anything else. We ended up staying there for about 4 hours and had a great time. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. You won't be sorry. It's a great 'find'!

Pros: Charming, warm and inviting. Great service. Great food.

Cons: Street parking is all that's available (from what we saw), so it was hard to find a space.
