It is sad that this place has come to this. The place was dirty, the service was, horrible. The salad bar was in sad shape, and it was 6 o'clock on s Friday nite. My prime rib was ok, but it was a horrible experience. Will never go again

I have now gone to the Newburg Inn twice. The first was during Valentine's day weekend, and the service and food was simply adequate. The waitress never came to our table, and the prime rib special was over done and under-seasoned.
But then, we went a second time thinking that maybe the poor service and food was due to the fact that the place was so busy the first time we visited. We went at five o'clock on Thursday night, so we were one of four couples. This time, the experience was even worse. We ordered the Newburg appetizer- one of those combination platters. Half of the food was pathetic- the potato skins were literally half of a potato without seasoning or anything else. The mozzarella sticks were basically out of a box and weren't deep fried long enough. Our meals were average- the filet migion and the broiled seafood platter. Now, while we were eating, we watched our waitress walked past us about twenty times- never checking in and only refilling our drinks when they were empty and on the side of the table. When we got the check, we were charged for three sodas and there were only two of us. When we politely inquired, she not only brushed us off, but told us that after our first order, we only get one refill. I understand such a policy, but first this was never on the menu, nor did she even ask us if we wanted the final refill; she merely took the glass away and filled it up.

I am very, very disappointed with a place that seems to offer so much. As for the other reviews that I've read about their prime rib, I hope that everyone has such a good experience. My prime rib during our first visit was dry and extremely fatty with only a dull knife to cut with.

Overall, I just can't recommend this place.

This is one of the first places we ate when we moved here, and we were very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, cozy and welcoming. The service is excellent, but laid back -- some may consider it slow, but it's relaxing, easy and encourages you to take your time and enjoy the meal atmosphere. The prime rib is excellent. Worth the trip alone.

The Newburg Inn is a landmark in Nazareth and a great place to stop for a nice dinner in a great location. Still catering to small numbers, the Newburg Inn is a classic example of good quality dining.

This restaurant has changed ownership many times over the last 20 or so years (or as long as I've been living in Lower Nazareth), but the ownership now is the by far the best. The menu has not changed too much, but the quality of the food isn't even comparable. Newburg Inn has always been known for the prime rib and the seafood, but I must say that the seafood dishes now are the most delicious. The restaurant offers a large salad bar with homemade soup (always delightful) and bread that comes with all entrees. I highly recommend the salmon and seafood dishes, but many of the Italian-style pasta dishes are also terrific. (The owner/chef once owned and was the chef for a great Italian restaurant in Bethlehem. Dishes are a little pricer now then they were in the past, but be prepared to make several meals out of your leftovers! That makes it a good value in my book!

Pros: Quality of food, service, and large portions
