I love going to shady Maple! I always over eat because there is such a huge selection to choose from. So make sure to go there hungry! Sometimes there is a bit of a wait but it is worth it.

I ate with my daughter here on Friday. I went to get a cup of coffee from the machine by where they make you stand for a booth. There was a bug in my coffee. I told the woman working that side and even showed her the bug on a napkin and she acted like I was nuts and told me to just go get another a cup of coffee!! Well if there is one bug there are probably 100's more. She should have at least had the machine cleaned out. On top of that you can't leave a complaint on their website-it bounces even though you think it went through. And their phone systems is a joke trying to reach someone! We eat here all the time and the food and service are usually excellent....but lately it hasn't been.

We drive over 3 hours just to eat here. We have planned vacations around a trip to eat here. If I lived any closer I'd be 300 pounds!! This is by far the best smorgasbord anywhere.

PROS: the price includes meal, tax and tip.
CONS: you can only eat so much

Good, Pennsylvania Dutch style foods on two huge smorgasboards. They have desserts, breads and burgers. But unless you are totally unadventerous, go for the chicken and beef main courses. Stuffed chicken breast is wonderful. As one child pointed out, "you can go back for slushies as much as you want!"

PROS: tons of variety of local foods
CONS: kinda pricey, but you get what you want.

Shady Maple is known in the Berks/Lancaster area as the place to go for a buffet meal. The breakfasts include all the favorites plus an omlette and waffle station. Dinners are excellent too. I am a big fan of Tuesday's seafood night. You can dine on everything from fried fish to seafood newburg. I especially love the great salad bar and fresh baked breads.

This is the best smorasborg i've ever been to. For one price you get to eat all you want. The selections available are overwhelming and everything is extremely delicious.

If you want some good food then i recommend you make the drive here. I have only tasted their breakfast but from tasting that im sure all the food they serve is good. The cook and bake everything from scratch. Its so good it worth getting up at 6 in the morning to make the drive there to get there before the big lines.

I have lived in Lancaster most all my life and this has to be by far the best restaurant and all you can buffet I have ever found. The food is all homemade and oh so delicious. I highly recommend anyone to come here. But do bring your appetitie because you are sure going to need it. A+ class all the way.

Everyone that knows me knows how much we love this place!
We go to Lancaster County, PA. quite often and ALWAYS have one of our meals at ShadyMaple! (going again next week too! lol)
They have the most mouth watering selection in the largest buffet in Lancaster County and I'd have to say of anywhere I've ever seen too!

Their prices are really good, considering that everything is included, from drinks, to food and dessert and even the tip is figured into the price of each person at about a rate of only 8%-so there is NO TIPPING ALLOWED at the tables!

Our favorite day to go there are Wed. because that is their Prime Rib night and for around $14.95 per person you get all the fresh-carved just for YOU, most delectible, mouth-watering Prime Rib we have ever had!
And the dessert buffet bar?...Oh my, DO leave room for that!!

There is so much available there that I could never fit it all in here in 2000 characters! lol

But to put it simply, if you want buffet style, all-you-can-eat genuine PA Dutch cooking(and more!) then by all means GO to ShadyMaple Smorgasbord! You won't leave dissappointed and you sure won't leave hungry!!

PROS: Reasonable prices, GREAT FOOD, everything included for 1 price!
CONS: NONE!!!

I have been going to Shady Maple Smorgasbord since I was a little girl. It offers an amazing selection of food for a very reasonable price. Whether you come for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you can find an amazing array of food including Pennsylvania dutch specialties and the most delicious baked goods you have ever eaten in your life! This is a "must do" in the Pennsylvania dutch country. The food is excellent!

PROS: excellent food, reasonable price, nice atmosphere
CONS: not open on Sundays
