Peddler's Village is a great place to go any time of year. They run special events, such as a Teddy Bear Picnic, that are great fun. The scarecrow competition in the fall is a must-see as are the holiday lights and gingerbread competition around Christmas. And that's not saying anything about the 70+ shops and restaurants located there. A must see.
I've been going to Peddler's Village since I was a kid. We usually go around the holidays to see all the pretty lights and get unique gifts that you don't always find at regular stores. It's a fun place to go with your kids, as the do have a small amusement type place indoors. Expensive, though. Would recommend taking a day to visit.
Shopping and dining in a sort-of-tourity location. A whole bunch (over 100) of small shops and eateries. The sort of place to fins unique handmade crafts, collectibles, brass kitchen hardware, or fine jewelry. Hand made cherry wood spoons. Glass suncatchers. Candles. Quilts. As you would expect, some things are a little pricy.
