Youell's has a well deserved reputation for great seafood. We love this place! The shellfish (oysters, clams, mussels) are always very fresh. Crabmeat is featured in many of the entrees - big lumps. We love crabmeat with browned butter. Soft shell crabs are wonderfull during the warmer months. Great homemade desserts.

When I moved to the area, Youell's Oyster House was recomended to me by all who I inquired about where to find a great seafood restaurant. Specializing in Maryland crabmeat dishes (about 15 on the menu), I find these better than those of my native Maryland. Simply prepared and made to order from fresh ingredients delivered daily, Youell's never fails to satisfy those with an appreciation of seafood. From the decadent crab bisque and freshly shucked oysters and clams to the crabmeat imperial and chantilly potatoes, Youell's never disapoints. I should not fail to mention the excellent, traditionaly served Valencian Paella.
Appetizers are around $7 with entrees mostly in the $19.95 range. Dress is smart casual with a eclectic clientele. Service is moderately paced. The atmosphere is casual fine dining. It can get a little noisy when it is busy.
They have a full bar with a generous selection of wines by the glass or bottle as well as expertly prepared martinis and mojitos, and a good choice of draught and bottled beer. Desserts are premise made and can not be missed. We usually need to make reservations when dining with friends, but also enjoy eating at their curved, black granite bar with all the other "regulars".
Highly recomended!
