I came here and saw great art. It was really fun to look at and I was amazed by all the things that I was finding. I came back again and was still amazed.

PAFA is a fantastic art school for traditional media, particularly figure drawing. The BFA program is very competitive, but the school also offers studio classes year-round, open to anyone, at a fraction of the price if taken for non-credit. I'd recommend trying this route first, before formally applying to the Certificate or BFA programs. Artists of all levels & abilities can be found in these classes, including some who are also enrolled in the degree programs. This mix of students is unusual for most art schools, & I think it definitely encourages everyone to take these classes more seriously. Another big plus: you get the same great teachers even if you're not enrolled in the degree programs. Most art schools do not offer this! PAFA is very special.

PROS: access to the same first-rate faculty, regardless of program
CONS: none
