I look forward to visiting this restaurant once a year. This is good old fashion Ammish HOME cooking. You have 2 options when dining here, either an ala carte menu or a buffet. With either you can't go wrong! I LOVE the cucumber salad and the pulled pork - all cooking is fresh and done on premis! Even has a cute little gift shop and bakery!

At Bird In Hand Bakery, you will find a wide variety of baked goods to tempt your sweet tooth! My personal favorite is their red velvet cake with buttercream icing. It is absolutely delicious . ..always moist and wonderful! They also do a beautiful job of decorating cakes for special events such as birthdays.

This place is awesome!!! Their cakes and pies and cookies are to die for! So fresh and so 'Gutt!' (PA Dutch for 'good')
All thier offerings are authentic PA Dutch style homebaked goodness!
Their prices are REALLY great and their ShooFly pie is one of the best I've had!
And I can't forget about their famous Red Velvet Cake-which is a luscious devils food cake that actually looks red-velevety inside, iced with a yummy white icing! Or...their fantastic cookies, one of my favs being their molasses cookies and of course their chocolate chip!
They even have some of the best Whoopie Pies I've had from the area!
You really won't believe your taste buds or the prices of these delicious treats!
You can't leave the area without taking some of their treats home!
PROS: Fresh, authentic PA Dutch Home-baked Goodies! Great prices!
CONS: NONE at all-except for the calories!! lol

What a fun place to eat as a family. The food is wonderful, fresh, alwasy hot. The selection is fabulous! They offer a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as, an a la carte menu.
We love to eat there because the wait staff is friendly, kind and very helpful. The restaurant cateres to families and indiviuals alike, but they also have banquet facilities for up to 300.The prices are very reasonable and a family of four can eat for less than $35.00.
Thereare great views of the countryside and you will most definitely see Amish folk while you are eating, either outside at their farms or even sitting beside you in the restaurant.
Menu selections that have to be sampled are: ham loaf, homemade mashed potatoes, broatsed chicken, salad bar, any of the desserts but especially the lemon sponge pie.
PROS: Great food, reasonable prices, wonderful wait staff
CONS: sometimes there is a wait for a table but no more than 15 minutes
