It has been a number of years now since you have completed the installation of the burglar alarm system at our offices. Since the time the installation was completed, we have been more satisfied with the way the system operates. We have had practically no false alarms, and the sensitivity and the operation have been nearly flawless.

The first test of the system came last week when one evening somebody smashed through the front entrance glass in an obvious effort to burglarize our offices. The system performed exactly as designed in that the siren went off and scared the intruder(s) away and the police were here within minutes. Suffice it to say, we are quite satisfed and feel that you have done a very fine job.

I signed up for Girsh Alarm in June of 2013 because I purchase a home where one of their systems was already installed. On November 20th 2013 I called the company because I had a power outage and my system failed and the status light went on. I called to report the issue and was told that a technician would call me back shortly to resolve the issue. I waited 2 weeks for a return call and did not receive one, so I called back to cancel my service. That was on December 3rd. I was then told that I would have someone call me back to help me, and again no call back. On December 5th I received a call from a technician who asked about the issue I was having and I told him I didn't need the technician anymore since that issue was over 2 weeks before, I just wanted to talk to a customer service rep who could help with my problem. The technician assured me someone would call back, and again no one did. I then called back Girsh on December 11th and told them I would not hang up until I got a customer service rep on the phone, which I finally did. I explained my issues to the rep who was sympathetic and apologetic, but told me the company has a strict policy of no refunds, even though they were in breach of contract for not returning my service calls. She told me she would send me a cancellation form and speak to an owner about a possible refund due to their breach of contract. I did not receive the form, nor did I receive the promised phone call in regard to my issues. I then had to call back again on December 17th and spoke to a different rep, who was absolutely the rudest customer service rep I have ever dealt with in my life. At the end of a heated conversation that rep also told me she would email me a cancellation form and assured me that I would get not a penny back from them, even the months that I had prepaid for which haven't even been serviced yet. Today is December 19th and I still did not receive the email with the cancellation forms. I called back this morning and spoke to the original, somewhat helpful rep, who finally sent me the cancellation form. She also informed me that the rude person who I was speaking to on the 17th was in fact the owner of the company, Jodie Girsh. This was a shock to me, because when I had asked her if I could speak to the owner of the company, Jodie told me that it was a big corporation and she couldn't get a hold of the owner, when in fact she was the owner.

went to Gersch Toys the other day and was pretty amazed by the selection. only problem was i wanted that truck in red and they only had it in black. so i didnt buy it. but clerk was nice and everything so id still say they were an okay place. they didnt offer to get it in red tho so i couldnt give them 5 stars. bought a lot of other toys. they wrapped the gifts for free which was pretty nice of them they didnt have to do that. so i did give tem 4 stars. and will go back.

These folks at Girsh are great caterers. they supplied food for me as subcontractors. i am a catering company director in the phila area and i must say they did a great job for me and my customers. i had some pretty picky folks i was working for and the people at girsh didnt let me down.
they were on time. they cleaned up after themselves. their food was the best.
they made me look good.

I'm a professional baker and i have foudn the cakes at girsh alarm to be absolutely scrumptious. unbelievably good. delicioso. out of this world.

Girsh Alarm has the best cakes I've ever eaten! Wow!!!!! They are terrific cooks and great chefs. The service they supply is super, too. The cooks include red velvet cake; triple chock-a-holic cake, and white choc. velvet cake. OMG fabulous!!

This guy is also doing business on ebay under the name harryalarm. He has ripped off about 20 ebayers already. He most be stopped before his crimes get worse. They have reported him to ADT, ebay and paypal from what I heard.

I wrote this letter back in August 1999. I'm still a customer and I would still recommend Girsh Alarm. Here's my letter:

I am writing this letter to tell you how much safer I feel with the Girsh Alarm System. The house came with the alarm installed, but I waited a few months to get the alarm hooked-up. I should have done it sooner. It is really piece of mind. The service man that hooked-up the alarm for me was very nice. He took the time to explain all the parts of the alarm and was very open to questions. I did trip the alarm once and was very nervous. I did not know what to expect. Your staff was very calm and reassuring on the phone. I am very happy I have your alarm system installed at my home. I would definitely recommend your company to others. Thanks!

When I took a job with Girsh Alarm Company I had to sign a contract. There are two points about this contract I'd like to talk about.:
1. It contained a guarantee for the ability to earn $64K/yr.
It spelled out how I was to achieve this (working 3.5 hrs of overtime/day) and that someone would meet with me at the end of each calendar month to 'ensure Art was on track' to earn at least the minimum goal of $64K.
2. A non compete clause was part of this agreement in which, after separation, I could not work for a competitor within a 25 mile radius for two years. Additionally, I could not directly compete with Girsh Alarm Company for a full ten years.
Regarding 1: Harry and Jodie actively sought to minimize my overtime in as little as six months. In May and again in September of 2006 I was verbally told to cut my overtime. Again in February of 2007 I was requested to cut my hours and then in June of that same year I was given a memo asking what we could do to minimize my overtime. Later that month I had a meeting with Harry about the memo and when I asked him about the guarantee to work overtime under my contract his response shocked me. "That doesn't apply anymore since you are not in the position you were hired for." (In the middle of 06 I was asked to go into sales for the company). "I guess I should have redone your contract at that time."
I was stunned. For many months Harry had been telling me that Jodie wanted to fire me. "Don't take it personally" he said. "She just wants it to be her and I like it used to be." For months Harry had been telling me he wanted to close the company because he was 'unhappy.' He was unhappy with our dispatcher, unhappy with all of the techs, unhappy with the A/R person, unhappy, unhappy, unhappy.
I thought is this the way they nullify their contracts? At will? So in July I started to look for another job and in August I was offered one with ADT. I accepted.
I gave notice (unlike previous employees who simply just stopped showing up. Indeed one even damaged a vehicle and left it parked on the curb in front of our building unlocked with the key on the seat), I returned all items belonging to Girsh Alarm (one previous employee, according to Harry anyway, stole a thousand dollars worth of equipment and refused to return it), I worked right through five o'clock of my last day, going on sales calls and preparing proposals. I made copious notes on any proposal that was outstanding so as to bring them on board seamlessly after my departure.
Regarding 2: Harry and Jodie did not hold prior employees who had left and worked in the industry to a non compete clause but to my surprise Harry and Jodie held me to the non compete clause of the contract that Harry had, not three months earlier, said did not apply any longer. He told me that ADT had deep pockets and that if they would 'pay me I would let discount the non compete clause' ... he said this was Jodie's idea and he felt it a good one.
I begged and pleaded with Harry over the next week as ADT rescinded their offer due to the non compete but to no avail. ADT's legal department sent Harry and Jodie a letter guaranteeing that I would not solicit any clients that flew the Girsh flag and that was not good enough. I guess Harry and Jodie figured since they don't stand by their written guarantees no one else does either.
And now here's the kicker. Here's what fine upstanding members of the Montgomery County Community they are. I had earned and had not used 40 hours of accrued vacation and free day time. Jodie would send out a monthly sheet stating what the employee had earned, what he/she had used, and what they had left. There is no 'use them or lose them' policy at Girsh. Now Jodie is not paying me this (MY) time. And they refuse to give me a reason. They told my attorney that it was because I had not given them notice. This is an outright lie. There??s no other name to give it. It??s just a lie. They told ADT that I was in contact with their clients. I did contact one client but not to say anything about Girsh. I simply told them that I was no longer employed with Girsh. I did not want the client to think I simply left without saying ??goodbye??. So this we can call an ??untruth?? or a small fact grossly exaggerated to steal 40 hours of pay from an employee.

Because of their greed I am currently unemployed. And now, out of spite, she is not paying me my vacation/free day time.
At this point I would be fearful of taking another job in Montgomery Township or promoting any business therein. Is this typical of Montgomery Township business owners?
Now each employee working there has their own horror stories when it comes to Harry and Jodie Girsh. Former employees have their horror stories about Harry and Jodie Girsh.
I promised I would not disclose Girsh pricing and, unlike Harry and Jodie Girsh, I am a man of my word.

I simply told them that I was no longer employed with Girsh. I did not want the client to think I simply left without saying ??goodbye??. So this we can call an ??untruth?? or a small fact grossly exaggerated to steal 40 hours of pay from an employee.

Because of their greed I am currently unemployed. And now, out of spite, she is not paying me my vacation/free day time.
At this point I would be fearful of taking another job in Montgomery Township or promoting any business therein. Is this typical of Montgomery Township business owners?
Now each employee working there has their own horror stories when it comes to Harry and Jodie Girsh. Former employees have their horror stories about Harry and Jodie Girsh.
I promised I would not disclose Girsh pricing and, unlike Harry and Jodie Girsh, I am a man of my word.
