Our Neighborhood Pharmacy

by Nicole S. | insider Insider | Rank: 19,517

I shop at the Academy Shopping Center Rite Aid weekly and have always had a good experience in doing so. Often they have great sales and clearances areas offering discounted prices on rather expensive goods.

I buy most of my toiletries at Rite Aid such as shaving creams, soaps and deodarants, and I take advantage of their huge magazine selection.

Most of the staff are teenagers and the service is mediocre at best, sometimes no "thank you's" or "you're welcome's" but I guess that is to be expected.

However, after having to return multiple items to the store last night (due to misplaced sale signs/wrong prices), I was nothing but pleased at ther cashier's courteous refund of my money, which was about $20.00.

Aside from some general messy areas (to be expected, I guess), my neighborhood Rite Aid is a good, quick stop for essential items at a good price.

PROS: close proximity, good sales
CONS: unfriendly cashiers, misplaced advertisements
