Son's Italian Ice & Ice Cream

Son's new location at 319 West State St is the place to go. This is the only place like it in all of Lancaster County. Their italian ice is out of this world much better than Rita's,and made on location. I counted the flavors of milk shakes and stopped at 85. My wife purchased a shake which she said was one of the best she has ever tasted. My oldest daughter got a carmel apple sundae which one of their friendly staff suggested , I have never tasted anything like this. My two youngest boys both got cheese steaks and fries. The steaks had plenty of meat and very tasty. The fries where hot and fresh and of very good taste almost like fries from the boardwalk. Now for myslef being the pig that I am I tried the Banana pig split. They advertise eat it all and it's free, plus get a t-shirt. I couldn't finish it but it was very big and tasty. The staff is very friendly and both the inside and outside are kept very clean. If going thur Quarryville you don't want to miss this place.

The workers are nice and efficient. The water ice I found to be yucky ---but that could just be me.
The ice cream is very good but expensive. They have a variety of different types of toppings, etc. & the kids love to go.
Convenient location but hate the parking.

PROS: good ice cream
CONS: expensive and bad parking
