York Waste,All that can be said for sure is,follow company rules and disregard D.O.T.rules.The trucks are unsafe and the management is clueless.They prech safety but in reality all that matters is money.They dont back employees and will fire you if you show that you have a brain.Customers and job seekers beware,they talk the talk but will screw you anyway they can.

Terrible. I pay my York Waste Disposal bill as soon as I get it. But their service is terrible. I pay for use of their large disposal container on wheels, but they have not delivered one yet. It has been over 4 months! I keep calling and they have a different excuse each time: We didn't get your request. It will be there in just a few days. We are out of containers. New ones are being made and it will take another month... on, and on. Then they suggest I go out and buy my own trash containers until I get one!!! It is mandatory that I pay quarterly even though I go to Fla. for the winter - this is the contract with Springettsbury Twp. I have a neighbor that died and her house has been for sale for a year. The house is vacant, but the family still must pay the York Waste Disposal for their NON-SERVICE in full. I hate it when they tell me, "You will just have to wait." Maybe I should tell them that when it's time to pay for their terrible service. For their 5-Star service, I give them "0". Also, you never know when they are to pick up the trash,
and often only pickup some of it, or do not show at all. Then they tell me to put it all out next week... then they say I put out to much trash due their not picking it up the week before. If I had a choice, I would not do business with them, so shame on Springettsbury Twp. for making such a terrible mandatorycontract with them.

We used to get great service but recently things have changed. Now you are lucky if they show up. One day it is 8am, another day 5 or 6pm. There are days when they just don't show up. I am getting so disgusted with them. Prices seemed good when our township offered this switch but not worth it now. Service is poor-cans tossed wherever they land etc. The last straw came when I called 3 weeks ago to request they take a chair of our's for bulk trash (which we are apparently entitled to one bulk trash item every Fri). I was told that they would be here and take the chair on 6/10/11. I called last week to confirm. Well today the truck finally showed up at 6:30 pm after I called. The guy threw the trash in, looked at the chair, got back on the truck and left. So, my chair is now outside and will be until the next bulk pick up I guess. Service is very poor. AVOID at all costs if you can. The ladies are very nice when you call but that is it. All I ever hear is "oh I'm sorry." Sadly our township makes us use their services. If you have a choice, please think before using them

I have had this company for many years and was very happy with the guy we had untill 2 months ago when he left. Now we are lucky if they show up at all. I have to place a call almost weekly to find out why they have not picked up our trash? When they do come the cans have been left in the road! They have also refused to take trash that was considered recycle---we dont have a recycle program here so they had to send the guy back------No appologies! Now the fees-----We started out with a 65 dollar bill quarterly 7 years ago only to have it steadly increase when gas prices went up---OK----when they came back down the bill only kept going up now $102 per quarter..............Time to call again for they have not come and Ive been on the phone for 13 minutes on hold waititng to tell them they have not been by!!!!!!!!! TIME TO CALL RELIABLE SANITATION after this quarter is up!

When ever I call customer service I was lucky to get this wonderful lady, Her name Donna Raters, She was so nice & so well trained for her job. Its nice to know when you call & need help, She is so nice to talk to about any problem you may have. Its nice to know you hire & train the best. My hat go off to you & her. She was wonderful. worst part is, my township decided to go with them, so it's either them or drive my trash out of here....this week I was told they don't take sheetrock...why? oh b/c that's construction materials and your contractor should take care of disposing of it. It was a small amount of scraps from a project we did ourselves. So they were going to ignore the whole can b/c they saw a few pieces of sheetrock. I am sure that is not what the rule was meant for. Talk about ignorant

If you are even THINKING about their "service" please think again. You will quickly tire of making phone calls twice a month asking why your garbage wasn't picked up. That is, IF you can find the number to call. They won't print it on your bill. (red flag) Excuses.....oh, truck broke down (famous one), new driver, it rained, we "didn't see" it.....you name it, they have a reason. Believe me, if they pass by it.......they will tell you, OH, just put twice as much out the following week. BUT, aren't we paying for a WEEKLY service? They sure want to CHARGE YOU for a weekly pickup! It's just great loading up it back up just to put it out a week later and HOPE they pick it up. Use another waste hauler.......don't say I didn't warn you.......wish someone had warned me. What a scam.

Waste management are so nasty and carless and just complete sloppy. THey bang and make so much noise at 4 and 5 in the morning,. And they just throw the trash cans down not caring if they go into the street. They have dented and basically ruined alot of our trash cans,
There attitude is jsut awful and they act they are the only people on the earth.
